Gentoo is o.k. to learn from but still not too hard to install. In my case, I learned a lot about how Linux filesystems are organized, the Linux boot process, all of the various boot and miscellaneous scripts in/etc, and especially how to compile software by compiling Linux from Scratch.
Of course, I did this when I had lots of free time on my hands before I started college, and I'm glad I had the chance to. If you really want to learn about Linux, install Linux from Scratch.
Bad Idea: A person might think they would be able to keep their old documents and programs and install Linux. After they have no idea where their documents went and how to use their "cleaned" system, the reputation of Linux would be tarnished in their eyes as a virus.
I don't see this computer as a feasible option for anyone... It is possible to build a Pentium-4 3.4GHz system comparable to this one for a lot cheaper. 600MHz usually won't make a difference at this point; it is the other components of the system that would slow it down. Personally I think anyone spending $4,200 on a gaming desktop is insane.
Could they be scrapping bluetooth because it is getting outdated? Since the future phones will be recording video and having other features, maybe bluetooth is too slow to transfer those things to a laptop or other phone. WiFi is much faster with a greater range; maybe they are thinking to use it instead.
Since people would probably stop buying newer versions of Office because they won't offer much productivity increase, I think this is a way to force people to keep paying money for Office.

How the heck am I going to read that tiny screen?
You can't.
