Exactly. If we were living in a computer simulation, then then why would it be our decendants that created it... wouldn't it be our ancestors? Decendants would only make sense in a time travelling skynet comes from the future type of scenario which seems the least likely. More likely we are just in a simulation and our creator is just our creator.

Licking nine volt batteries should help with math scores. At the very least it will wake the kid up when he/she gets tired of doing boring math problems.

If the network were hard wired instead of wireless it could be considered quite secure, since the BartPE file system can be only on a CDR. If a malicious threat makes it to my LAN to attack a BartPE cd you already have a security problem to deal with, and a simple reboot of the BartPE system will most likely eliminate any trojans/viri etc from the system.

  6. Vegas, Miami, New York on Is The 'CSI Phenomenon' Good For Science? · · Score: 1

Haven't seen too many Vegas shows, but I get caught up in the Miami shows. The only recurring complaint with the Miami show is how overconfident the characters seem. The New York show I watched the first couple of episodes and hated it. The logic was way off on how they solve the crimes in New York. They have the characters jumping to conclusions that the facts just didn't lead to. The writers of the New York show seem to think their audience is stupid. It may not have started that way, but it will end that way.
