Anand sees more promise in multiple CPU cores that perform different operations
I think he meant more promies in multiple CPU cores in the same CPU, not multiple cores in multiple CPUs. The GPU on a video card is treated much differently than the extra cores in the multi-core CPUs.
I live in Western Australia. After reading people's post, all I can say is: Wow
Here, even during the coldest day of winter you don't have to worry about the cold much at all. We don't have to worry about emergency power for our heaters and piping freezing.
Certainly puts things in perspective when I complain about it being 'cold'. (When its 10 degC):)
You have a point, but have you considered that by making voting compulsory, people can't be prevented from voting?
All sorts of problems can be caused (and have?) where people weren't allowed to vote, or polling stations were put too far away, etc. If everyone HAS to vote, then these problems can't easily be swept under the carpet, and are mostly prevented in the first place.
Ok, I didn't RTFA, or _everyone's_ comments, but I had a similar sounding problem when I installed newer drivers for my gf4, my mouse was all laggy. Using older drivers fixed it. This under running XP.
This was using a CRT...
Antidepressants suppress all emotion.
No, they don't. I suggest you read up a bit on SSRI's. They basically just speed up the brain by increasing the amount of seratonin (sp?). The logic is that slow processing causes depression.
Of course, no one knows exactly how anti-depressants work - that would require an understanding of what human conciousness actually is.
Ok, now I see what the preview button is for :)
I'd only have to drive a few thousands kilometres to go skiing. Not toooooo far really. :)

I was in the beta for death. Was pretty buggy, had trouble respawning.

True
What about Australia?
