    Well, mostly due to the time it takes to get a newer version of a package (I don't know if this is still relevant to what I need at this time). I don't actually know if they are still behind as they used to be but if their general process hadn't changed I imagine that'd still be the case.

    Actually, it's not just the death that Christians are caring about. The torture is quite symbolic as well. For instance, many references to the crown of thornes are made. The body being broken and the blood being spilled are constantly reinforced imagery. The suffering matters too.

    No one is saying that what the news paper did should be illegal, the argument is that what they did is putting real people's lives in danger and could potentially be directly responsible for more criminals having firearms, and therefore more crimes involving firearms. Why are you surprised that this is outrageous? It was a stupid, dick move to create fear, uncertainty and doubt in relation to firearm owners and their status as civilized individuals.

    Wish I had points. What would you recommend as an alternative? I've been contemplating going back to Gentoo, but am a bit reluctant because of the initial time investment. Mint looks promising. Haven't had to think about this in 5 years, and feeling a bit rusty :S.
