That only changes where on the window the bars are located. I want the tab bar and the address bar to both be on top, but the address bar to be on top of the tab bar. In addition to this, I can't find a way to display my (a) bookmarks toolbar on the same bar as the "File / Edit / View / Go..."
1) How much bandwidth does this use? Does Google really upload each of your shared files to its servers? 2) Is it actually uploading the file or an index of the files?
"I don't know about other girls, but I get kinda irritated when people, be they men or women, exclaim "Good for you!" or "You go girl!" when I mention my major, as if I'm overcoming some incredible hardship by just -- get this -- interacting to guys and *gasp* doing my coursework without female encouragement!"
The point is that if he ever gets sued and this post is dug up, the RIAA can point out that he intentionally put up the AP for plausible deniability, therefore nullifying his claim to plausible deniability. He definatly would not want to bring up this post.
This whole article was pretty depressing. It had about twice the comments of the other articles - simply because there is a ton of dissatisfaction to go around. Everyone is saying how IT is a terrible field to go into - so what would you guys suggest a student who likes IT do? Not a genius, but, yes, I do want to have some job security.
so... who here is actually going to use this? no one?
so that means it's targetted to a less technically-adept audience, right? how is microsoft going to make them aware of the advantages of this toolbar? package it with softwar? a giant marketing campaign?
this thing doesn't look like it's going to be a huge success.
anyone have any information on http://www.artofsense.com/? this site at least seems legit. would be bad if lycos were really bringing down innocents...
"1) Slow compared to Mozilla - requires the use of the moox optimized builds. I just built myself a new(ish) machine last night, though, so the extra CPU speed may make this a moot point for me, but the 550mHz Pentium III I was using was definitely not an optimal platform for Firefox.
Slow compared to Mozilla? I'm using it in Windows XP on an AMD (3000+) run eMachines... and it is faster than IE! It loads faster, renders pages faster and generally is the fastest application on my PC."
He said it was slow compared to Mozilla, not slow compared to IE. Everything is fast compared to IE.
And if Firefox had 90 percent market share, do you think that spyware won't be targetted towards Firefox? Stupid people will still be clicking those flashy banners...

If you live in Oakland, why don't you come down to Carnegie Mellon? Lord knows we have quite a bunch of DnD going around here.

Wow, I got a -1 and am ranked last.
I just thought the irony was funny.

Mod parent up. Most insightful response in whole thread.
Why not assign a higher page rank to older pages? It makes sense and would help prevent Google bombing.
Too bad the office will still have paper, just paper with ink on it.
Well, previous articles focused on the possibility that the broadcast flag would be defeated in court.
This article actually says that a US court declared that broadcast regulators "crossed the line."
Did we really have to make that little quip at the end...?
Does it seem that broadband over power is outedging the other technologies? Which is ahead now? Discuss.

honestly - how do people turn out such a faulty product? it seems the hardware would be the hard part - why is the software so shoddy?

So what do you guys think the best version of Winamp is and why? Version 1? 2? 3? 5?
If anyone knows Moox, ask him if he could use another mirror. If he could, tell him to AIM me @ Poleris. Thanks.
No problem - glad to be of service. :)
This one is right at the hub of NYC. Big pipes.

Isn't that being quite ignorant? It's people like you, who if placed in a US citizen's shoes, becomes the average uninformed, mass-media fed Joe.
