Spam is often sent to made up addresses. So, if your email address was "joetrader@foo.com", it is entirely possible that a spammer synthesized the address. You need to use addresses that are not easily guessable, for example, joetrader@foo.com. If you already had a hard-to-guess address, then you have a point.
Ladies and Gentlement, the President of the United States:
"These so-called scientists have gone too far this time. While we do not know for sure one way or another what the results of these experiments will be in the future, we cannot wait for the possibility that a black hole could destroy our way of life as we know it, disrupt our focus on the real enemy--global terror networks. Or even worse, reduce corporate profits. That is why I have ordered our armed forces into harm's way once again. As we speak, nucular physicists worldwide are being brought to justice by our brave men and women in uniform. They--these rogues--are not scientists, they are illegal combatants, and we will have no mercy on those who cannot justify their expensive research. This could be 9/11, all over again, only on an unprecedented scale that we cannot even imagine. That is all."
Hopefully these sorts of legal problems will discorage [sic] other companies from using annoying anti-customer "activation" schemes...
They won't. The decision states that there will be no injunction, which means MS can continue using activation. They just have to tip the people who successfully misused the patent system.
And, for the record, activation is not anti-customer, that's your thinly veiled agenda talking.
Try cops killing you while you are doing something perfectly legal, and the cops get away with it. It's ironic that the cops want to install cameraseverywhere (because one of YOU is a criminal), but it's not ok for you to tape them.
The reason why they have desalination plants in the Middle East is that (1) they don't have much fresh water and (2) they have enormous amounts of fossil fuel that they can use to pay for and power the desalination plants. They waste plenty of water.
In California, people pay for their water. Agriculture, however, pays very little.
It seems the young guns don't have the extra cash
More likely, the older users have a bit more experience and make wiser choices...
That's an incredibly good short term solution! Uh...
That'll teach me to not use angle brackets... I meant joe(randomnumber)trader@foo.com. Doh!

The drug industry has a Congress-approved methodfor extending patents past 20 years, and the issue keeps popping up.

"Largest Object in the Universe discovered."
Whoops, sorry. Forgot to zip up...
I suppose this also explains the "large concentrations of gas"...

Correction to myself, it's illegal to offer an inducement to vote a certain way, so this should be legal.
Over here in California, it's illegal to offer an inducement to vote.
