I have the portable apps application and loads of other stuff on my 1GB drive and have loads of space free.
I tend to carry 2 keys, 1 for apps and 1 for data, so I don't have to close all my apps down when transferring files between PCs.
My fav map at the moment is http://www.map24.co.uk
It covers the UK and the US (does that mean global coverage ?)
It also has some neat features, like dragging the map and my fav. the space-rocket, where you can quickly zoom out then back in again to get a perspetive on where you are !
