Personally, I can't get into indie podcasts due to the typically poor production values. There are a lot of insightful podcasters that could be developing a real audience if they would just buy a high quality mic.
Oh bullocks, nonsense, crap, crap, crap.
We are such spoiled pussies about things like this. There are some insanely great indie podcasts out there and you are missing out if you turn them off because of less-than-NPR-quality sound quality. Ever hear an old Stones record? It is sloppy and sounds like shit compared to your average over-produced record of today but they are real and awesome in spite of their flaws.
I am so fucking sick of this crap. The patent system is critically broken and they are apparently relying on litigation to fix it. Lame, lame, lame. Maybe I'll patent commucation through a viscous medium by oscillation of neighboring molecules to reproduce pressure waves across distances.
What are the technical realities/challenges of lag and what are you doing to improve the situation? Specifically lag when large groups of players are all in the same place.

Yup, The Scar is better than Perdido St. Station. It's a great read.
1. Make a nice printable list of all record companies in the RIAA. 2. Distribute said list. 3. DON'T BUY ANY RECORDS FROM ANYONE ON THE LIST, EVER. 4. Write the bands we like and tell them as long as they are on an RIAA label that we will not be buying their music.
Let's starve these bastards of dollars so they shut the fuck up.
I enjoyed the interview but this copyright business left a bad taste in my mouth. He basically said "someone told me it violated my copyright". Oh good, another mindless cease and desist issued by lawyers without any thought of the actual harm. These sort of derivative works benefit the original author and deserve more rational consideration than "someone told me it violated by copyright".
I believe we have the technology right now to create childlike AI intelligences, but that we just have no clue how to code it. Do you agree or disagree.

This is a pet peeve of mine, so sorry.

That's it! I have the patent for sound.
