I don't know...Wouldn't multiple cores help in handling multiple processes--i.e. task switching?
Or, what about running the OS (mostly) on one processor core and the apps on the other?
And how is it that we know about this fondling wrist-slap, hmmm?:-)

Am I the only one disturbed by this stuff? I know it's only a rat, but...imagine a world where your brain (sliced and diced) is worth more outside your body than inside.
For some reason this kind of reminds me of Larry Niven's classic "Patchwork Girl".
Speed is relative. Meteors (including micrometeors) often travel 100's of thousands of miles an hour w/respect to the EARTH. A measly 20-40 thousand mph difference in ship speed isn't going to make much difference to one of these bad boys.
Wow.
$30 million invested for two brand-spanking new plane designs (developed over EIGHT YEARS), one of which goes to space and back....you think this is big budget?!?
OK, call me ignorant, but... You can actually get high by EATING weed?
You get a bigger boost from the rotation of the earth near the equater. Sort of a slingshot effect.
Shoot, forgot to mention the core point: implement process-level parallelism versus (on top of?) thread-level parallelism.

I agree on the "Corporation" angle...but... I can't decide if "TV, movies, and music make up a large part of our culture". I hope not.
