OK, call me ignorant, but... You can actually get high by EATING weed?

You get a bigger boost from the rotation of the earth near the equater. Sort of a slingshot effect.

Shoot, forgot to mention the core point: implement process-level parallelism versus (on top of?) thread-level parallelism.

I don't know...Wouldn't multiple cores help in handling multiple processes--i.e. task switching? Or, what about running the OS (mostly) on one processor core and the apps on the other?

Am I the only one disturbed by this stuff? I know it's only a rat, but...imagine a world where your brain (sliced and diced) is worth more outside your body than inside. For some reason this kind of reminds me of Larry Niven's classic "Patchwork Girl".

I agree on the "Corporation" angle...but... I can't decide if "TV, movies, and music make up a large part of our culture". I hope not.

Speed is relative. Meteors (including micrometeors) often travel 100's of thousands of miles an hour w/respect to the EARTH. A measly 20-40 thousand mph difference in ship speed isn't going to make much difference to one of these bad boys.

Wow. $30 million invested for two brand-spanking new plane designs (developed over EIGHT YEARS), one of which goes to space and back....you think this is big budget?!?
