Wouldn't mass adoption of this technology kind of destroy the point? If everyone was told the fastest route, eventually more traffic would come there until everything was at an equilibrium... but maybe that would be considered ideal by some...
It also works because of the amount of users that don't contribute. Imagine reading an article written by the average American... As a student at a public high school, I get to see how great the average American's grammar and spelling are everyday!
The author of this blog entry linked to a Secunia page that listed 4 Firefox vulnerabilities, one of which was listed as 'Moderately Critical,' and the rest of which were listed as less than moderately critical. Curiously, the Secunia IE Page, which of course was not mentioned in the blog entry, lists 74 IE vulnerabilities, many of which are ranked "Highly Critical." Isn't it odd that the author didn't compare the two?
As a 59 year old EQ adict (now playing EQ 2), do I count as old?
When I said older, I was implying middle aged and up, so you definitely qualify. There are of course exceptions to the general trend, and apparently you're one of them!;)
TV and movies will always have a far, far greater audience.
I disagree. The interactivity of video games builds on TV, adding as much of a new dimension to entertainment as TV did to Radio. It will take awhile for older people to accept video games as something more than sophomoric entertainment, but once that happens, interactive entertainment will take off.
No, the work's not over yet, and I think it's time to focus attention on Thunderbird, because Outlook Express is also a security risk. Just replacing IE on a machine won't be enough, in my opinion.
Which is exactly why we need a Windows version of Evolution.
Well it did say that because they don't have to pay for Windows, they can focus on better hardware, so perhaps there are others for the same price, but they call this one ultra cheap because it has much better hardware than others in the same price range.
One hopes that Sony can possibly keep up when it comes to launching the PSP. If history is of any precedent, this won't be the case.
I was thinking just the opposite... Sony has the big "PlayStation" name, and I don't think previous examples really apply in this case. Nintendo won the handheld war at times when they were also winning the console war (or at least right up there), but that's not the case right now.
Unfortunately.
Looking at those screenshots, it's interesting how the installer, for instance, is essentially copied from RedHat.
That may be true, but that installer is based on GNOME anyway, so it's not as if RedHat had done anything truly original with it anyway. They simply applied the widely used desktop environment to their installation.
What are you talking about? Original games don't come out before the holidays! With everyone else coming out with guaranteed hit sequels, how could anyone possibly be different and come out with something original?
In fact, is there any kind of legal use for this?
It's kind of like the license-plate-changer in a recent Bond movie... it's only legal if you're a secret agent working for the government.
Let me be the first to make the obligatory joke... Akzo Nobel might just get the Nobel prize for this!

Is $483US really cheap in China?
