He just has to release the info he has. (after blanking the names of course)
What worries me is our current Prime Sinister probably agrees with that kind of spying, and wouldn't be surprised if Canada is already doing the same thing.
I *seriously* doubt that, since they were using about the same processor. (6510 at around 1Mhz for the 64, scaled-down 6502 for the 2600 (6507) running at the same speed.
Such as fixing the fact that it has a tendency to peg the CPU while loading pages? with multi-core machines, there's no reason why it should lag my computer while waiting for a page to download. TCP/IP isn't that hard on a cpu.
They are *way* more important things to fix than try to be another Chrome.
The problem is not just related to the format, but the medium it's stored on. I can still read C64 floppies because I have some drives, but everything I have for my Apple ][ is considered lost until I find both a drive and a working machine.
An emulator isn't the same thing. When I turn on my NES, I use the original controllers and gun with a device those games were designed for, a CRT TV. Same goes for my C64. It's about the experience, the ritual, like pulling out a record from its sleeve, put it on the platter and gently lower the needle.
I'm pretty sure if AMD would bring out something to be competitive, Intel would find a way to come out with faster processors, just like they did when the original Athlon kicked ass. Suddenly they were able to manufactures processors that were'nt just 33Mhz faster than the previous ones.
The reason they didn't sell Bluray drives is the same their machines don't even have a DVD drive anymore. They want people to buy content, not just play it. Speaking of DVD drives, their DVD recorder only works on some of their machines, not even their old stuff (iMac G5 I'm looking at you). They added code to OSX so it wouldn't boot on Atom machines, they prevented their OS from installing on older machines (even if they were perfectly capable of running the newer version), and yes, I'm typing this on a Mac...
The guy registered a domain name *2* years ago, probably even before MS would look for a name for their upcoming console. This is just another (yet) case of a big company using its legal weight against the small people.
THIS...
That's why I'm using an old clicky without that key.
Just charge him with torrenting, he's gonna have a bigger sentence.
No it's not.
Japanese cars mostly have them on the right side, because in Japan that's the driver's side.
American cars have them on the left side, unless it's a captive import.
GLOSSY bothers me more. Too much reflection, not even talking about fingerprints. In a way, a glossy screen is going back to a cheap CRT.
Never heard of solid state relays? I think I've something called a Triac, or maybe it was called a SCR ?
Try to have that phone approved by the FCC (or whatever equivalent entity in other countries)

"Metro, is a good reason to switch to Linux."
Or Mac. I'm using all three of them, and I'm always rebooting in XP/7 for games, but i will *never* use 8

Heck, even the processor in the 1541 was a real 6502.

Agreed...
Call me old school, but I prefer to at least have the option. Not every hardware has HDMI and SPDIF or AC3.

SO? It's not like they will be charged with anything. In most cases, the officers are always found not guilty.

I have more faith in a machine than most people in power.
Amen to that...
Started on my dad's Apple ][ clone, but when I finally bought my own C64, I was buying Compute's Gazette almost every month.
How the fuck can a social website be held responsible for what people share, especially in another country?
Two words...

Steam does NOT run as root.

Even with incredibly dirty laundry, I doubt a washing machine operates in the same kind of harsh and hostile environment :)
They really need to stop granting patents to generic and vague stuff. Besides, the stuff in that patent was done decades before Amazon even existed.
Or HALO
