If autoscrolling is enabled in Firefox, middle clicking on pretty much any page in Slashdot makes the whole browser freeze for a while, to the point where my Ubuntu thinks Firefox is unresponsive and "darkens" the window. The scrolling feature still seems to scroll the page in the background while the browser chokes.
Not really sure what this is related to, I have never seen this behavior before.
Other than that and the "too much whitespace" issues, I think this change is not THAT bad. Just takes some getting used to, like always.
This nice piece of legislation also makes it illegal to import copyrighted material outside of the EC. For example, it is illegal to buy an anime DVD from Japan if the DVD in question isn't already being sold within the EC.
It's illegal to import copyrighted material with the purpose of selling it. It's not illegal to import for personal use.
IMO, why waste money to see the content of a comet? There are so many better things to learn and explore in this great cosmos of ours.
I think research like this can some day save our asses. Should one of those big ones be headed straight at us, the more info we have about it in advance, the better.

That would be around 14,5 degrees for the rest of the world.

I'm so glad humans are using this base-60 system. I can easily find use for all these fingers!

...should be enough to fit every episode of The Simpsons on one disk.
How appropriate. I can already hear anti-piracy people say D'oh!
