One hour may be fine for starters, but you'll soon see it takes much longer to lay out your entire thought process for the part you are working on on a given day.

Gnome 3 - argh.. KDE 4, well I think it is turning into the exact Windows style bloatware I originally went to Linux to get away from. XFCE, which I used to look at and just think it was a nice alternative for those with a system 3 generations old, has now turned into my standard desktop. It is lightweight, fast, and seems to be compatible with everything (At least that I do). I don't care if they fixed the bugs in KDE, it is still grossly bloated now and I won't need to be going back.

Yes! It's horrible. Apple has done its best to contain it and they have done a fairly good job. People hardly even know about this. iPad 1 has been turned into a paperweight and is totally useless. Unless you are willing / know how to jailbreak it, your stuck. Apple further won't even let you downgrade to IOS 4.0.3 which works great. I had my iPad since release and never a single crash. Then ios5 and now it is a pile o junk. That google search returns page after page of forums with users saying mail crashes, safari crashes, etc... and the fanboys and Apple employees get on forums like this and their main job is simply suppress! SUPRESS! discredit! omg Im so sick of what this has turned into. Give an opinion and a paid shill will come on and discredit you.

After the service I got on the ipad1 to ios5, I could give a rats behind. They broke mine and thousands of others, Ipad1 with IOS5 crashes constantly and since November have refused to do anything. I will never buy another Apple Product.. Screw them. Believe it or not, the moronic fanboys on the Apple forums are actually saying "well if they don't fix it by the time the ipad 3 comes out, I guess I'll just buy one of those" The main reason companies like this are able to thrive is this wierd fanboy mentality. Nothing more.

  18. I won't be buying and this is why on What the iPad 3 Looks Like · · Score: 0

I won't be interested in an iPad 3. not because I don't like the ipad, or because I any kind of fanboy for any of the tablets. I had an ipad1 and have used it up until about mid December. I updated to IOS5 in late november and it started crashing. No way to back out. Posted on apples forum and any post I made stating the problem was not related to any software and solely was the os was deleted. They do indeed steer the forum over there. To this day there are hundreds of posts with people still chiming in saying go to a genius and have them wipe it and you'll probably be fine...which does not work. Apple finally acknowledges it and then does nothing now 2 months after the first post of a real actual bug in memory management and it is now a hidden post buried beneath piles of apple seeds saying that a certain program or whatever caused it. I will either buy an Android tablet for my next toy or none. No more of this BS hiding truth. They seriously made it a paperweight. Everytime you went to any web page that used any memory at all it would crash. fill out a for, Crash. Use mail and receive more than 5 emails, Crash. Downgrade back to IOS 4 ? No- they will not allow that. Reload to factory specs, Crash next time just the same as before yet thats what they still recommend. Worse than Windows used to be except reinstalling Windows used to actually fix the problems you had at the time. Why would anyone give another dime to a company that treats customers that way? They think their market share and brand name is so strong that you'll actually go out and buy a new one to fix the problem. No way.. Oh and yes I'm aware of jailbreaking and the alternate market etc... Nope, just gave it to a nephew finally and said have fun. I just use my Nexus S with a Cyan 9 build for everything now. Thank You Apple for showing me I don't need your crappy product service. /end rant.
