  1. Amplifiers on Apple Sued Over Potential Hearing Loss · · Score: 1

Didn't this already come up, but was dismissed because the idiot was using an external amplifier?

There is an MMOG somewhat like that already: <URL:http://www.there.com/>.
    If I recall, it's something like $12/year.

  3. Re:But where do you draw the line? on Vonage 911 Deadline Passed · · Score: 1

TFA says that the E911 requirement only applies to services which use/terminate on the public switched telephone network.

Doesn't have anything to do with "The Game".  Actually just a Hummer advertisement, but a link and mirror for your enjoyment anyway.

  7. Re:*phew* on Sony DRM Installs a Rootkit? · · Score: 0

I wouldn't be so sure that was a joke. With good virus protection, I don't have to worry about this DRM and rootkit from Sony BS. Whatever happened to the days when you could legally purchase an MP3 from a legitimate website and burn, transfer to PDA, iPod, etc. without having so many insane restrictions. Now, I know that if piracy on a large scale hurts the artists, but when they make only a dollar or so per album sold, who's the one actually getting screwed? The artists and ourselves. The **AA bigwigs are the only ones laughing all the way to the bank.

  8. Mining on mars on Company to Settle and Mine Mars · · Score: 0

This is how it starts, later we will build a military base there, start performing teleportation experiments, open a gate to hell, and unleash hell on earth^H^H^H^H^H mars.

If I remeber correctly, my TI-89 HW2 uses a 15 Mhz 68k, but can't do greyscale worth a damn. Though those sonic games sure look damn good...

  10. running this way now on Running Windows With No Services · · Score: 0

Per TFA, I killed everything except what I wanted. Now I'm only running Firefox and Gaim. Pretty quick, too. Only disappointment is that it kills windows audio in the process, so music is a no go. I can still access mapped drives, surf the intarweb and even run some 3D benchmarks. This really does improve 3D performance - I saw some good 10-20 FPS improvements in 3DMark 05. No good for games; however, as there is no sound.

  11. Allergies? on Shrimp Bandages Clot Blood Faster · · Score: 0

What about people with allergies to shellfish, etc. Some people are deadly allergic to these things, and on the battlefield if a man is unconcious and bleeding profusely, how is someone to know? I mean I can't imaging all the medics having every soldier's medical history being immediatley acessible.
