Christ, do you even think before slamming your face into the keyboard? "Objectivism" does not prohibit working together to benefit each other and yourself. Each side gains by the interaction - well within the bounds of Randian "theory." but it is easier to herp derp along an point fingers.
Have you used Monodroid or Monotouch? I have been scrounging around for anyone that has (The droid version at least) and been coming up empty. C# is a breeze and I'd prefer to code in it... The attractive part to me was using it to build a common business layer I could leverage with WM7 and save myself some headache.
Are the android sales because it is the android PLATFORM or just because people need a new phone and that is what their carrier offers? To me the lackluster sales of Android tablets says that people aren't much into android as they are just phones that people generally buy and use.
I have a ps3 and a few blurays, but I also have an AppleTV (and Netflix). I can rent movies for $3.99 from my couch or for free through streaming (minus the monthly cost). So for movies I'll watch once, maybe twice, why would I pay $25 for bluray again?
Whoever didnt see that coming a mile away was a fool. Google has the perfect bait and switch. Give them a popular OS for free they can do whatever with - let adoption soar. Now, google can start to dictate terms. Hopefully they can get manufactures pushing updates sooner, stop the stupid look and feel customization, etc.
What an absolutely stupid reply. They are far from fads, I know plenty of folk that have replaced their laptops and desktops with iPads because they do what they need. It is extremely short sighted to think because it doesn't suit *your* needs that they are pointless devices.
by the logic of "hybrid vehicles aren't paying enough to cover construction costs" for roads - why do low MPG pay a "gas guzzler tax" - shouldn't they pay less in taxes?
Better yet WHY DID THE GOVERNMENT SUBSIDIZE THESE VEHICLES SINCE THEY ARE NOW COSTING THEM MORE MONEY. ugh
They are the quickest way to swap contact info. But, they can be bulky if you carry more than a days worth. They are essential for transferring "how do i get in touch with you" in a second. Even if mobile technology improves, I really don't see people pulling out their phones, going to their contacts, and hitting "share" when all they have to do is hand someone a piece of paper with all their info.
Now, this doesn't mean your card can't have a QR Code or something on it that has all that info that is easily scan-able, but to suggest the business card is dying because some poor startup was too stupid to get 1000 cards for $13 is just hilarious.
All around. al jazeera/bbc have been decent, but still - not what it needs to be. Fox, CNN, MSNBC have all been sensationalist garbage - as usual. What else is a decent source of news anyone else has been following?
Hopefully this turns out to be nothing as bad as it could be. The reactors are dead, but lets hope that is the least of the issues.
They *are* part of the government, why do people think they will act in the best interest of the people and not the government? The case and ruling are biased, a third party should be making the decision.

But I think this seals my fate to avoid it and stick with just Java...
You rally against the free market - but you fail to realize these are government create and granted monopolies. Congrats on your failure of logic.

Denies it and makes claim against the other party. More at 11!
it will be interesting to see what evidence they do have. His claim maybe valid - but I don't find the fact he refutes it anything special.

Uh no, humans had been sailing for quite a long time at that point.
Yeah, evil capitalism, that is why 256k of RAM is still $5,000
It is just hilarious. This site bitches when MS doesnt release an SDK. Now that there will be one, there must be some evil means behind it.
I mean, of course they wouldnt offer a backdoor solution to law enforcement agencies, nah.
Please, give me oversized text that stretches off the screen so I can't read it - such a great feature of WM7!

new plan? Don't worry about tablets - we will just cry to governments that we are getting our lunch eaten?

Insurance *is* risk. Mitigation. Current "health insurance" is more subsidizing the costs for everyone.
MS's favorite astroturfer strikes again
If you can dream it, we can tax it.

Best troll on /. - creates a new account for every MS story. Bravo.
China isn't abstaining, they are directly funding the US and its wars. China has no issue with this, in fact - they encourage it.

Not donating enough to the various political parties.

Yes, reactor technology hasn't improved in 40 years - and we would be building ours on the most active fault lines in the world too.
