    To totally hose a good system to make it "fair" to people. Sorry, applying for jobs is not a "random" process. Both the worker and the company want what is best for them. picking people at "random" hurts the applicant and the company by bad pairings. way to go dc, inefficency is key!

    You seem to forget that judges are part of the government system. They may seem "impartial" but they are still part of the entire system, they can't be totally impartial.

    i have no idea. i think my new company gives them a % of what i get paid. so if i made $50K a year, they may get 5% of that salary (not taken out of my pay).

    I mean, that has to be violating health care laws, the individual taking patient records home, even if they are in some propietary format. That can't be legal at all, due to patient confidentiality, ect. I hope something serious comes from this.

    I don't know why recruiters get such a bad name.

    I used them to find my last job, i had 6 offers in 2 weeks. All of which were more than I wanted. I paid nothing, they got a % of what I made through the company that hired me. So the more I made, the more they made. Plus I told them exactly what I want and they found the jobs that fit my profile. It was great, I had to do no work. I will never go without using one again for future job searches.

    It is impossible not to have your ID stolen through not YOUR actions, but others now a day. I had mine compromised 3 times last year due to employers as well as corporations that have my personal information. I mean, what can you really do when a company refuses to protect your identity? You can't sue, because there are no laws on the books. Yes, I took my business elsewhere, but what happens when you lose money due to others mishaps and ignorance? I guess it is time to get "ID Loss Insurance" for another $30/month. Ugh.

    is "Standing up" to the US gov't to "defy" them with this request for search information. When they are going right along with the chinese gov't with censoring their citizens. Please, they are looking to make money, nothing else. i like the company, but "Doing no evil" is nothing more than propaganda to keep people happy with the company and avoid MS anti-trust problems.

    They are doing what every other tax paying American is doing this time of the year, trying to get out of a mountain of taxes. I think it is great, I wish I had this option.

    My only thought is they are trying to diversify and bring some new experienced talent into their business. Since they are ad driven, this will probably lend itself to pushing into differnet markets. i don't really see where it is going, but i imagine they have other plans for this acquisiton other than radio broadcasting...

    Only thing i can think of is voice ads in podcasts...

    just look at arrested development. one of the best shows on TV. i love the shows, i own all the dvds. BUt i have only seen 4 on the new episodes this season. Why? Because they play it randomly on Mondays. Like there will be 4 weeks without a new episode, then they will play 2 in a nite. then 2 weeks later they will play another one. you can't get a constant user base when you don't have a constant play time!

    I have no problem paying $.99 for a song, but i will pay no more. This happens and I will be looking other places for my music for my iPod. They have to pay none of the traditional distribution costs of CD's, so they shouldn't even be the price they are now. you want to be greedy, i'll look elsewhere.
