I think subscriptions like Netflix are part of the reason why people are not going to the theaters as much as they used to, not the economy. Instead of paying $10 to drive in traffic and sit in a crappy theater, I can watch as many movies as I want at home in comfort, for the whole month! Now with HD-DVD and a nice surround system, there is almost no reason to go to the theater as far as I am concerned.
Most recyclers will take circuit boards (PCB's) and give you decent money for them. They melt them down to get all the copper out. Copper is not cheap.
Not so fast, but RIAA and its beloved DRM will fail, within the next few years.
Not everyone is well-informed to know and seek for better alternatives. Some are happy to follow whatever the record labels throw at them. Only through words of mouth and coverage by media will people learn, and ditch the record labels for the better services. What are the better alternatives? What is the best way for up and coming bands to gain exposure if they are going to try and ditch the big record labels? I am not arguing on the side of the big labels, but what better services are out there?
People drink coffee at ALL hours of the day so I am not sure how much moving ads to the morning is going to matter. Not to mention that there are less people watching TV in the morning.
Agreed. You would think that other problems (immigration, energy prices, ect.) would be more important than this crap. Ohhh wait, these are politicians so nothing really makes sense...
I like your idea, and I think that would increase the output even further. However, the problem with mirrors and lenses is that they are heavey, and take up a lot of space, which in the end, might not save much cost.
What do you think the chances are that some of these customers stop their subscription due to these problems? I'm not sure how long I would continue to shell out $15 a month for the constant frustration of trying to connect to a server, only to have my connection drop right at the height of action. If this problem does not get fixed soon with all the problems they are having, I think there is a good chance that subscriptions are going to start to fall off.
It is the smaller bands that play local concerts for $10 that make music for the purpose of making music. Once these bands get popular and realize how much money they could make if they "sell out", they do. Can you blame them?
Its pretty sad however that anyone would pay $250 to go see Madonna.
Venture capitals are usually funds that invest in business ventures at various stages. Some funds invest in the "seed stage" of a new business to get them started. Others come in after the busness is already started and doing pretty well to help sustain further growth and development. Once the venture capital fund invests in a business, they esentially own a portion of the business, and will require that the money they invest be paid out at a certain time. They will also take a precentage of the profits based on how much money they have put in.

If your main liquid source is soda, you are probably drinking more like 2L of soda a day. I have noticed at work that many people sit in their cube all day with a cup of soda/coffee and just keep sipping at it all day long not realizing how much they are actually consuming.
If they were stolen out of a car could they not have also been stolen out of an archive company car/truck? I guess the archive company would still be responsible for that, but I think it could still happen.
I think a lot of people like to buy music because it is not mainstream, and not widely available. If that sort of music is now higher in price, sales could suffer. Not to mention that most of the "mainstream" music today is BS in the first place.
The problem is most people do want to run all sorts of programs like AIM and winamp and kazaa and so on...all at the same time. Plus don't forget all the spyware and other crap that most people end up with on their computer just from mindlessly surfing the internet. Add it all up and I think a cheap computer is going to choke up pretty fast, and then you have lot of pissed off customers

I work for a medical imaging company called MIMvista and we are doing quite well. We were around before windows vista came to the party.

The goal of every company is to make money. Google has an opportunity to make more money in China, so they are taking it.

caffeine has also been shown to stimulate the frontal lobe of the brain during functional MRI scans, which has been linked to increased memory.

Hopefully you already have a decently sized ram
