Hey geek, get out of you mother's basement. Some of us have other things to do besides spend hours trying to figure out how to hack linux to make basic functionality work.
Half of the people who buy computers buy laptops. Laptop features matter. Linux cannot even make my laptop go into standby mode. Microsoft has no competition when it comes to laptops.
I wish the open source community would address the required features of an OS--like laptop features--instead of telling me why they don't matter.
Unfortunatley, most small claims courts have a filing fee of around $40. I don't know how much WoW costs, but I don't think taking this to small claims court would be that advantageous.
So, at $15 dollars a month with iTunes, how long will it take me to buy 100's of songs that I want to listen to right now? 3 years, 4 years? That's a long time to wait.
People pay $40 a month for cable tv. I don't get why people can't pay $10 for ulimited music. Comcast is now touting "on-demand." Napster is basically on-demand with unlimited choices. You choose what you want to listen to, when you want to listen to it, and you only have to pay $10 a month to receive those benefits. I have signed up for Napter, and by the end of next week, I will have probably downloaded around 1000 songs. At iTunes prices, that $1000 dollars, or just over 8 years worth of subscription fees with Napster. And, I'll be downloading music constantly.
In the end, what is $10 worth? Two means at McDonald's per month? If you can't pay that, get a new job.
I don't know why people are so upset that Bush took Saddam out of power. We know he gassed his own people. We know he tried to invade countries around him. We know he supressed his own people.
The reasons he went to war may have been off, but I can't argue with the goals of democracy that Iraq is now trying to acheive.
