  1. Re:separate manned and unmanned on New NASA Admin Griffin Cleans House · · Score: 1

Manned and unmanned space exploration don't mutual exclude eachother.

First stage "mapping" can very efficently be done by unmanned probes. "Exploration" and especially "engeniering" are a real hard core task much more suiteable for humans. Maybe in 20years time the automatic parts will improve by several magnitudes but problems like the speed of light - think comand and controll - will remain.

The real problem is that we are nowere near the "exploration" or the "engeniering" stage and try to use humans.

Granted space stategy is planed on decades or even longer terms - thus a 14year target just shows how wishfull thinking the administration is.

As far as I know are digital notary signares are valid in Germany.

Genetics are indeed an interesting source for history. The problem is, that as soon as you gou more than say 6000 into the past the interpretation of the data becomes problematic.

    1. Different regions have different stress factors like animals, population density etc..
    2. Food/nutrients/water have a great impact on the error correcting mechanisms
    3. The sun has complex imacts. It increases the mutation rate and at the same time is essentail for some biochemistral reactions

For short periods like 6000 years you might neclect/ignore those facts, but as soon as you go back that many generation those influences have to be accounted for.

Genetic can provide you with data - as usually the interpetion is the key! Statistics can tell you aprox. how many mutations accured but how long it took stands on a different sheet.

Randomly Mixing languages is indeed a nightmare.

But I suggest you have a look at big projects like(gcc, GNU kernel ...). You'll notice that many if not all mix languages. If done wisely the advantages of both languages - e.g. C & ASM - can solve dificult tasks quite nicely.

There is some nitrit included in your list. But please remember, that the absorption and emission wave length not only depend on a single atom or bond but are also greatly influensed by the surrounding bonds/structures.

Your list is nothing but a first indication if the choosen method should be investigated.
