Good point on the incentives. If you want the realtor to work in your best interest, you need to ensure they have the right incentives. For example, you may want to agree to a sliding commission rate scale: The cheaper they get the house for you, the more % commission they get of the final amount.

Soon anyone wearing dark glasses in an airplane will be immediately "subdued" by the air marshal because they are suspected terrorists. The reasoning: obviously anyone wearing sun glasses does this to avoid potential blinding by LED tasers. This is suspect and people will be held in Guantanamo for up to 5 years until their alleged terrorist nature can be proven or disproved.

Snyder was given a poor evaluation based on her performance while teaching at the high school and was warned not to direct students to her MySpace page, which contained the questionable photographs, Kelin said.

Many stores do not even carry thhis artist in Switzerland.

Herein lies the value of iTunes Store for me.

I bought one in Switzerland two weeks ago in a large department store. This was just after the PS 3 media blitz and the whole game section was decked out with playstation 3s as demos. A few Wiis locked up behind a glass window. No one asking for them at that moment in time (except me of course). No one was buying PS3s either, just playing the demo machines.

It is very easy to get Wiis and Wiimotes here.

  17. A push to sell albums instead of individual tracks on EMI May Remove DRM From Parts of Catalog · · Score: 2, Informative

Please note that the price is still the SAME for albums, but you will get drm-free 256 bit encoded AAC tracks as of May.

This is also a push to help sell albums (which become even cheaper in comparison to individual drm-free tracks). This is inline with the recent iTunes Store "upgrade to album" offer.

USD 1.29 x 12 songs = USD 15.46 as compared to an album price of USD 9.99.

So if I buy 8 songs from an album, it is cheaper to buy the album. This compares to 10 individual tracks from the same album under previous pricing.

  18. Classical music on EMI May Remove DRM From Parts of Catalog · · Score: 1

I never bought classical music on iTunes due to the low (for classical music) AAC bit rate. In May, when I buy an entire album, I will be able to buy classical music at a higher quality encoding, drm-free and for the same price as today.

    Yay!

I think Walmart's business model might be: "Get the pundits to buy the DRM infested lower quality download, then for a bit more cash, they can grab a DVD the next time they come into our store".
Makes sense, but I'm sure it is Windows-land only. Anyhoo, I'm on a Mac, and I live in Switzerland, so WTF do I care?

Walmart will also be selling TV series. They have more studios signed up than Apple, mainly due, I think, to Walmart's caving in to the Studios demands (same pricing as DVDs).

Anyone who says the iPhone is a smartphone doesn't get it. Steve Jobs said "the iPhone is three devices in one: a phone, an iPod and an internet communications device." That is the exact description of the iPhone. It has a great phone interface, is the most multimedia rich/savy iPod ever produced and it is a surf board for the internet. As far as we know, it is nothing else.

People trashing it because it isn't a mini Mac tablet cum mini Mac Office or mini iWork are just projecting their personal dream features onto a fictive iPhone.
