I tried the mozilla ones with Mozilla 1.6 and firefox 0.9.1, and they both crashed and burned. The Opera test crashed my Opera 7.54 (opera remembers where it was, so yay).
I tried the lynx (version 2.8.5rel.1) one, and um.. well.. Linux doesn't handle programs eating memory really quickly very well. I was getting mouse lag, and my system was really unresponsive. I hit ctrl-c about a thousand times, and managed to bring up KDE system guard and kill it.. it was using like 500MB of RAM. Nasty nasty stuff.
Indian Jones? What are they outsourcing fucking movie actors now?

Your voting system doesn't support this AFAIK. I am not an American citizen, nor do I know heaps about your voting system. But from what I've read, you don't do preferential voting. In Australia, when we're voting for the house of reps. we have to order the boxes in order of preference. If our first pref. doesn't get through, then his votes transfer to our second preference, and so on. So you guys could have
[1] Ralph Nader [2] John Kerry [3] One of those duck pendulum thingies [4] A toothbrush [5] The dog from Frasier [6] George W. Bush
and a vote for Nader would essentially be a vote for Kerry (unless Nader got the majority).
Every man and his dog is making an "iPod killer" these days. But none of em seem to get it.
I am yet to see a better combination than iPod + iTunes for managing music. And the interface on the ipod is really nice and easy to use. I haven't bought one because they're a bit pricey and don't play ogg:)
I can attest to that. I was looking at getting an x86 laptop and running Linux on it, but I couldn't find anything that had the same quality and pricepoint as the 12" iBook. I had never used a Mac before either, but now I am *so* glad that I bought it.
I have *never* been happier with a computer purchase - it just works really great. I didn't bother installing Linux on it, OS X does everything I want.
My desktop is an AMD64 box running Mandrake, however... but I get the best of both worlds having an x86(-64) box and a PPC/Apple box.

Hmmm, I'm having "posters remorse" on that last post.
