In time with development the human brain could be used as a massive data storage device for PC information. You could have fingerprint recognition on the PC itself and then download/upload vast amounts of information.
All someone would have to do is touch you (easilydone in a crowded place) and give you a virus, take private inforamtion, or assimilate you like the borg...

Funnily enough I always wanted to create a game simply called "Life". I imagined it to take the prosective of GTA3 with its 3d environment etc, but crossbreed it with the Sims and add some more features to enable you to do as you will whenever you like.
If you wanted you could get up, get a job, buy a car, go shopping all the normal things that you can do in real life, basically follow the path of altruism. Or you could become a thug get into drugs and mug people and steal for a living - with the obvious conciquences.
My hope is that with the implementation of Blue Ray technologhy http://www.blu-ray.com/info/ games like this could become "real."
You could integrate yourself into the virtual world and actually spend your whole life in their, earnig real money for a days work. Far fetched i know, but how cool would it be.

Ha ha ha, that made me laugh. True enough showing unselfish concern for the welfare of others in a computer game would be an original concept. As I look around at my game collection i cannot see a single one that involves helping someone! There is a very old one "Theme Hospital" but even thats to make a profit. strange yet addictive - but for how long!
You could make a game that simulated baby caring or hospital work, but as soon as the player had access to tool, car, bin liner, nappy/diper or anything really, they would no doubtably try and mug, beat, kill someone or something with it.
Could you imagine a voilence loving gamer bashing the joypad trying to change the next babies poop bag? So long as they felt satifiesd at the end of it why not i suppose...
Sorry my bad, by saying it was a lot younger I didn't mean the planet itself, I was actually refering to the elements, which of course we all know can fluctuate rapidly wtih tremendous cause and effect in a short space of time. With the dinosaurs being alive over "X" amount of million years ago the elements can dramatically change affecting everything in its environment. So millions of years in relation to the age of the planet is the blink of a eye, yes. But more than enough to affect the life cycle of a species - Make sense?
Deffinatly, you can have full concept that its a machine displaying a lot of pretty colours. But when those colours come together to represent something, it triggers emotions and feelings that you would normaly experiance as if it was real.
Its like art work, only with the ability to do as you please and satisfy the curiosity of doing it in real life.
sorry to go on but i think that games like this would actually discourage violence as the need for it is released harmlessly in a virtual world. you know!

I'm a little concerned about this gmail desktop search. In Googles quest to find any information at anytime there has been a lot of uprise about GMAIL and the fact that they will possibly share your personel email information with governments and other third parties after it reaches a certain age.
I'm interested that by having this search tool installed Google could then potentialy have access to your files.
Does anyone have any further information about this as noone seems to know the exact story..
Absolutly, but scientists could isolate the gene responsible for following and carrying out human killer instinct which you could then turn against your enemys. However this would probably result in a outbreak of murderous scum, who will kill anything and anyone, including thier creators!

I'm not all up for voilence but the curiosity is pretty interesting. I guess then army men would become the "property" of the government. Enanced humans that could never live normal lives. Just breed for the kill. It reminds me of an old game called Syndicate...
