Regardless of what progress is made, then scarcity will ALWAYS be an issue. Even if you can convert energy directly to matter and vica-versa, there will always be a need to assign value to things. The only way money will cease to be useful is if there is no longer any interaction between people.
Al gets permission first even though he doesn't need it. Eminem, also known for his "my stuff is protected by free speech so bite me" has refused Al the right to make videos spoofing him and his appearance. this despite Eminem spoofing many other famous folks in his videos.
Coolio once refused Al a video, but it somehow got mixed up in the translation, and Al got an "okay".
Prince also refused Al, shortly before he baceme known as the "artist formerly known".
The folks who scream the most about their "art" being protected by the First Amendment are the first to scream when someone uses that First Amendment to make fun of them.
Let me tell you something. After digging that hole I am ready for a six-pack. And I wish they would have thrown in a pair of gloves, cuz I gots some serious blisters.
Someone modded this guy overrated in another thread condemning him to negative karma hell. Can someone please mod him up, and if you feel like it, mod me offtopic.
Even if you are correct, having an author not agreeing with the business sense of the decision is not even remotely the same as "sensationalist journalism". The only one sensationalist is the article submitter.
For those too lazy to RTFA, here is the blurb that speaks directly about the game. Sensationalist? You decide.
"But Manhunt 2 goes the furthest. Players take the role of a psychiatric escapee who has murderous rages as he tries to uncover his past. On the Wii, players physically make killing motions with the controllers -- slashing for stabs and lifting to strangle -- rather than simply pushing buttons. Rockstar's goal is to put players in the horror genre in ways that films like Saw or Hostel cannot.
"It's a different level of engagement in video games," says Rockstar's Rodney Walker. "You can literally experience the emotional responses of the character."
The Entertainment Software Ratings Board tagged Manhunt 2 with the Adults Only rating in June, essentially banning the game. Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony do not permit AO games to be made for their consoles, and many retailers will not stock AO titles. Rockstar changed the game and resubmitted it to earn an M rating.
Walker concedes that some might be turned off by the game. "But what about other people who should have a choice whether or not to play it?" he says."
Note that the quotes are from Rodney Walker of Rockstar.
RTFA. The article is fair. It describes what the game is about and how it is played. I am not sure what is sensationalized about the article itself. If having the game described shocks you then your problem is with the game itself.
I was one of them. But since Roland is no longer linking to his own blog, I have no problem with him. Quite honestly, the majority of his submissions are better than the majority of the other submissions. I am not sure what is up with the vendetta any more.
Howdy. I don't claim to understand all of this. However, the more I read, the more I am convinced the universe makes no sense. I am waiting for the guy who is dreaming all of this to wake up and for all of us to stop existing.
They can pass a bill to make the non-tax "Permanent", but it only takes another bill to tax it again. The only upside to passing the bill would be to create a bit of legislative inertia.
Occam's razor is useless in situations like this. Basically Occam's razor comes down to a judgment call. 'Which "sounds more plausible"? 'is the question that is asked. To be honest when you get into this branch of physics, even things that have been damn well proven and the knowledge used to build workable devices... the concepts STILL sound impossible.

Pfft. Firefox has the same business model.

Does business != Illegal downloads.
It's in your ass. Here. Let me dig it out for you.
Looks like I offended one of the $7000 cable buyers.
If you sell an idiot $5 cables, you only get $5 from him.
If you sell an idiot $7,000 cable, you get $7000 from him.
This proves that $7,000 cables are superior to $5 cables.
Where is my million?
Howdy,

Yeah... if you click on his name. If you click on the article link you do not go to his blog.

Translation: You have been trolled.
In case you need to calculate how many cans of baked beans you can eat without killing yourself in a cloud of methane?

Forget how to rely to the story instead of the unrelated First Post. Comment should be modded off topic (as mine should be too)

Here is the real reason the business model failed:
"I believe that if you give people real value (music or anything else) they are happy to pay."
What happens if you use this on an older Intel chip? Do the issues cancel out?

Actually, the energy gets divided which is why I am so tired. Either that or it is Monday.
And yet, no matter how many parallel universes there are, he still never gets laid. Where's the justice?
