WTF, if I had gotten stuck inside a puny GLASS elevator, I would have said "F this" and busted out the GLASS door and walked out. It's sad when you are trapped by ordinary glass.
Just for fun, here's my cross-country price comparison.
To explain the format a bit, the first column is the country and the native price of the console in that country. The next three columns are THAT price converted to the respective currency. Originating currency price is marked with ='s. Hope this is a clear enough explanation.
All prices are rounded off. Conversion done via: xe.com
I would completely disagree with that needing symantec bit. In fact, I find that XP systems run BETTER without their crap. Just slap on one of the free antivirus out there and remove any pre-installed crapware and you're good to go.
That's the funny thing about design, you don't always know what you want, but you do always recognise what you don't.
And FTR, I wasn't trying to be mean with my previous comment - imagine a friend sayingg it in that lighthearted jab kinda way.;) (Re-reading it, it sounded really mean to me, so I wanted to clarify.)
Exact accuracy in number of parts is not needed. Rough numbers work good as the examples are only given to show relative complexity of different well-known machines.
Sadly, no. I went attending to but when I didn't see him on the list here in Tennessee, I stupidly assumed I couldn't vote for him. I learned later that despite the voting being done on this stupid barely-electronic push-button machine with annoying blinking lights, I could - somehow - have voted for him as a write-in. It doesn't help the naivete of first time voters (like I was) when the user interfaces are *SO* user-UNfriendly. I ended up voting for Nader because he was the only 3rd party listed and I at least still agreed with him more than B*** or K****.
an investor friend said that what he saw the PS3 do with regards to fidelity of the graphics, will blow peoples minds. But won't that take an expensive 1080p (or is it i?) tv? So wouldn't that mostly appeal to those who wouldn't even blink at the PS3's price anyway?
Don't misunderstand, I don't want to see Sony exit the video game market. I do want to see the point very clearly made that my console doesn't need to do my laundry and shouldn't require a loan to purchase.
To be honest, I was hoping more for a revolution than an evolution. *shrug* I did sound harsher in my original post than I meant to, though. None of those three designs (or the one you just linked) do I hate, but none of them stand out making me think, hey that's an attractive looking new site. I've been on-and-off trying to think of something I might do that would keep all that Taco's looking for while pushing slashdot forward and I've been drawing blanks.
But why the heck do I want this fledgling format which may not make it longer than a couple years? I, Average Joe, has just finished replacing all of my VHS with DVD and NOW I'm going to have to do it all over again for a much higher price?
And why, really, do I want this in my video game console? I'm more interested in being able to play video games on it than "Another Boat Sinks in the Water 12".
I don't know, xbox is recruiting more and more devs. Even SquareEnix is going to produce for them. Not to mention FF's creator's studio. And GTA4. I've got a feeling that Sony will see less and less exclusives this time around and consumers - such as myself - will question the worth of paying an extra 200+ to be to play nearly the same set of games.
Exactly. It's ironic, really. The very reason I never got the original xBox (all of it's good games are either on PC or PS2) could be the very reason I get the 360 instead of PS3.
Voting only means nothing when you waste it (typically) on the big-name Republicans and Democrats. Both groups are so anti-people it's not even funny. Vote for a third party (any of them, though I typically prefer Libertarian and show the "Wasted Vote" school-of-thought people that third parties aren't the real waste - the big two are.

Or you could just ask your managers this question. I imagine that they'd be able to give a more accurate answer than a couple thousand random people.
But maybe that's just me.

Geez, mods, it was a JOKE. Wasn't being serious. LAUGH, or maybe at least try smiling.

Judging from the grammar/spelling on the site (assuming the link in your sig is in fact your company), perhaps you should listen to him.

As pointed out in the original story. Three weeks really isn't enough time.
Very true, especially for those of us who can't just take 3 weeks off from work to do the redesign.
Eh, none of those three really look all that great. I expected to see better.

Sony's Kaz Hirai has in turn responded that the PlayStation 3 is priced for consumers, who are getting a lot less for their money.
There, fixed that for ya.

So many great series... easy to meld them together now and then in one's head. ;)
You will also be able to get S&M straight from TellTale. Says so in the FAQ on their site.
Incorrect. There was indeed an SQ4 (which was the best). You're probably thinking of the Leisure Suit Larry series.
This is old news. We've had stats like this for a long time from the ESA: http://www.theesa.com/facts/index.php
They have more interesting stats than these guys managed to come up with, too.
It would have been a lot funnier had you linked to 14 different articles doing the same thing rather than 14 different slides from one article.
