I agree 100%. I've played guitar for 16 yrs, and there is no comparison between GH and a real guitar. GH will teach you to coordinate your finger movements, but 5 buttons don't translate well to 6-strings and 22-24 frets.
Rock Band is a different story. Learn to play the drums well on the game and the simple beats could translate to a very basic drum kit. You still wouldn't be a proficient drummer, but RB's drums would translate to the real instrument better than GH does to a guitar.
The Vaio laptop I bought several months back did not come with recovery media. Instead, it came with a partition on the HD that was used for recovery. The 100GB HD that was used as a selling point was only 78GB after the recovery partition.
If you wanted the recovery CDs / DVDs, the only way to get them was to download all of the files and burn them or spend some $$$ and order them.
I still remember from my childhood the frustration of getting "homework" from 5 different teachers, each oblivious to the demands of others, and even when made aware, just simply doesn't care!
Other than homework where there is an obvious answer (i.e. math, etc), do you really think most teachers check the answers closely?
I still have a paper from 11th grade where we had to write sentences for 120 words that are likely to appear on the SATs. My moron friends and I wrote sentences like the following:
The elevator didn't arrive, so we repressed the button. -or my favorite-
Shut up or you will get a blasphemy gun!
The best part about the assignment was the 60/60 that I received.
Growing up in the U.S. in the 80's, we only had 5 or 6 channels.
Fast forward 25 years and if you subscribe to cable or satellite, we have 300+ channels.
However, remove all of the shop-at-home channels, redundant news channels, religeous broadcasts, all the "oprah" channels, ESPN XXI, ESPN XYZ, MTV, MTV2, MTV++, MTV#, etc...and we're still left with 4 or 5 decent stations, and a hefty bill each month.
Unless the rules recently changed...I don't ever remember having to show a passport when returning to the U.S. from Canada, the Bahamas, or even Jamaica.
I did have to show my driver's license and have a birth certificate as proof of citizenship. As of my last trip, I've never shown the birth cert. when returning from Canada. Returning from the islands was a different story.
So when my wife makes me watch the latest piece-of-crap hollywood release with her, can I download a third-party edit into my DVD player that will add some Vivid video clips in there?
I see a new business model emerging:
1) Wait for "Family Entertainment" bill to be signed into law.
2) Edit porn into boring movies
3) Profit!!!
