  1. Re:Why do people buy cheap ram? on Firms Get Away with Selling Untested DRAM · · Score: 1

For the same reason people buy lottery tickets. Do you feel Lucky? Price is the main reason. If stability and trouble-free operation are important to you then the price of Crucial or Kingston isn't that high. On the other hand if this cheap no-name RAM is being sold as "tested" then somebody is just ripping you off.

Evolution is a fact. The theory that tries to explain it is Natural Selection. I accept evolution as fact. Natural selection seems to explain it quite nicely. It's all part of God's plan. It's so elegant it nearly proves to me the existence of God. The Holy Scriptures (all of them, not just the Bible) are like the theory of Natural Selection. They try to explain God. They may have been adequate some time in the past but today are better at suggesting proper behavior. The more we discover about the universe the more I marvel at the mind of its' Creator.

I think the abortion issue is centered on one thing at its basic core. Until that changes the debate will continue. That thing is: when does life begin? My side says human life begins at conception. You can talk all day about tissue mass and brain waves yada yada yada. Very few people on this side will be swayed. As long as the beginning of life is defined this way it is the duty of the people to protect that life. By extension a pregnant woman is not one human but two. One human killing another human is murder unless justified. Privacy, convenience, control over ones body are not sufficient justification. Life of the mother MAY be considered self defense but health of the mother is not. Abortion cheapens human life. Those that cheapen it make it far more easier to justify mercy killing, killing the weak, the handicapped, the retarded, the old, the sick, the infirm, the ugly, the racially mixed, the genetically inferior, the jew, the christian, and you.

You are absolutely correct. I enjoy an entertaining commercial that is not done to death. I can't stand the cortislim style where they have one cheaply done commercial that is played twice in a segment on every segment on every show until your so sick of it. If they were entertaining and didn't run 3-4 minutes per segment I wouldn't skip over them. Sometime when I watch live TV I'll surf during the breaks and wind up staying on the new channel just to avoid the obnoxious sponsors on the other one.
