hmm, maybe sony is being a good guy and patenting it now so that when the technology is viable it will be public domain? btw, patents last for 14-20 years, depending, so its really questionable...
look at post times idiots, my post was the third post, and right about the same time as the first person that said the same thing.
gah... pay attention...
lol, i sense misdirected rage. whats wrong, did the authorities come around and scare you into deleting your \/\/4R3z and kiddie porn stash?
tsk tsk tsk. truely i feel sorry for you. from you comments above i can see that your life is miserable and you just want to hit something. (but dont have the balls to do it under your name)
i live by a busy highway (i65) and have my ap pointing out the window and named free_internet
i dont keep my machines at home turned on so i dont really care who accesses the net through me. i log mac's though so if someone does do something i can show the authorities that (unless they know you can spoof your mac) it wasn't me...
instead of having the list have email addresses stored, why not just long hashes of those email addresses. then, the spammers just hash the email address, submit to the list to see if its there, and do whatever based on if it is or not. anyway, not perfect, because people still wont follow the rules, but it provides at least a little wall of protection because SOME people would use it.
to be honest, i could probably live happily without touching a box at all outside of my 9-5. i do however do a great deal of side work, mainly web scripting for people that want dynamic sites to do whatever. i also do onsite computer/networking work for $50/hr using only word of mouth for advertising. my side work yearly income is somewhere around 15k so far this year, so im not doing too bad.
and no, i was smart enough to NOT sign any non-competes...
or, maybe if people check their mail and pop it off the server then the saved disk space will be enough to offset the revenue they DIDNT earn with the ads.
You have an error in your sql near ';'
which way is your village...
but it would be better to have it open source than closed source imo. it would definately be easier to integrate support for if it was open source.
