Its a brand new technology, it has wooden sides, stands only about 18 inches tall, and is about 2 inches deep, and has these cool horizontal metal rods, with some amazing wooden balls on all the bars. And is completely immune to any and all spyware and viruses. And believe it or not, the OS NEVER crashes, and retails for under $50 bucks.

Has anyone ever heard of that word, or has it been removed from the english language. I guess while the governments giving stuff away, I am to poor to afford a Hummer, but I think the government should give me one, because driving my old clunker to work is too embarrising. So I refuse to work. Its a dern shame when you work to get ahead in this country, and get taxed to the hilt so they can give poor folks broadband, when half the poor folks that they are trying to give broadband dont have a PC, and the other half smoke so much crack they dont know what a PC is. This is and always has been a free country, if you WANT to get ahead in this country all you have to do is work hard. I am not saying that everyone who is poor deserves to be there, but I promise you over half are there and only want a hand out. I live in mississippi, so dont tell me I dont know what I am talking about. I think this is still listed as the poorest state, and I see it everyday.

If you bunch of whiners are going to constantly complain, here's a hint DONT GO SEE THE MOVIE, leave more room for me and my kids to go, i am taking the day off work, just to go see ep 3 when it comes out. Shesh!!! Lucas IS star wars, if he decides to put JAR JAR in there then guess what HE CREATED IT, HE CAN DO IT, AND THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT. Except of course dont go see the dern movie. 10. Sadly on Developing for Healthcare - .NET vs J2EE? · · Score: 0

Microsoft is in EVERY hospital around here in the south. I know from New Orleans to Mobile anyway. And kind of suprising to me is that we have over a dozen large casino resorts here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and EVERY one of them is Windows and AS/400 based. With windows on every desktop, and usually windows running terminal emulator to communicate with the 400. My company writes software for Hospitals and Casinos and the programmers we just hired are doing everything in .NET But from talking to these IT managers, alot of them are older guys, and dont know much about linux, and dont care. I have talked to virtually all of them about linux based solutions and none of them were interested. I was really surprised. That being said, these are just hospitals and Casinos in my area, and not nation wide. I would like to think thats not common everywhere. It was like pulling teeth to convince my company to let me build them a linux web server to handle our email and website and keep it in house. Literally took me a couple of years of talking to finally get it done.

  12. It dont matter on Too Many Computers Hurt Learning · · Score: 1

I have 8 computers in my house, my kids by choice play on they're pc's maybe a total of 1 hour per week, they are 9 and 12 yrs old. They have broadband connections at they're pc's in they're rooms, cartoon network is just about the only thing my 9 yr old plays on, and of course cheat planet for PS2,Xbox, and Gamecube cheats. My 12 yr old does her school research on hers more than anything. Most of the time, the choose to play with they're friends outside, and they are both A / B occasionally C students, never a bad report on them. I honestly believe it has more to do with the childs personality than anything else, I have seen kids raised by the same parents, that one is in jail for drugs, and the others are A students and very Bright College students, go figure.

  13. This is stupid on Lone Activist Group Submits 99.8% of FCC Complaints · · Score: 1

Okay your saying that complaints are up, but they are from one source, that source has an email list, when they want to launch a complaint, they send an email to the people that signed up on the list. the people then follow a link and sign they're name, and press send. So, that does not take away from the fact that complaints are still up that much over the past couple of years. Its still that many people complaining, I know i get emails from them all the time, some stuff is worth complaining about, but to me most of it is not. They complain everytime some one on some sitcom even hints around about something crude. But like I said, its still 240,000 people sending them email through PTC's website. Its not 240,000 complaints from one person. Cant we all just get a life?!?! I know what my kids watch and when they watch it, half the humor on these sitcoms are above they're heads, they dont get it. If a show offends me I turn it off, I wish that the PTC would practice that more often, thats one sure way to cancel a show.

This would never even have to be an issue if the stinking federal government would simple stick to doing what it was created in the constitution to do which is Maintain the military and protect our borders, the federal government was NEVER meant to be what it is today. They are well on they're way to creating a welfare state. Stop all the needless spending on just about EVERYTHING and stay out of my business. Now thats what i would call a Government of, for, and by the PEOPLE.

  16. Napster and the Likes on Shawn Fanning Is Back Into Digital Music · · Score: 1

Is there any place that allows you to burn or transfer files to mp3 players all you want, when i download a song from say napster, i can only burn it like 3 times. Right now i am playing in my Church band, alot of times we play the same song several times every few months, when i get the song list for that week, i burn the ones we are playing to cd and listen to them while i am driving around doing my work. I have been playing music for 20 yrs. but not Christian music, so I need to hear the song a 10 - 12 times to get it in my head. After burning it 3 times thats it, no more burning that song, thats just STUPID, plus you have to use they're burn engine. I want somewhere that if i buy the dern song i can burn it 50 million times if need be, i paid for it!!! I guess the only other alternative would be to hook up an MP3 player in the car.

  18. I use an old kenwood cd changer on How Do You Handle Home Media? · · Score: 1

I bought an older kenwood cd changer from a thrift store for 15 bucks, ripped out the guts, and put in a full size ATX motherboard, tv out ati card 20gb hard drive and network card and cheap sound card and no cd drive, i do have a floppy mounted inside just in case. I ran cat 5 to the wall behind it, so its hard wired into my network, and i have a wireless keyboard with built in trackball mouse to control it. I just play music and movies that are stored on my file server. Works great, its only like a pIII 500 if i remember right, and like 256mb ram. It sits in my stereo rack and you cant tell its not a stereo component, its running XP you can sit on the couch and surf the web, but the resolution sucks. I built it mainly from spare parts, the only thing i purchased for it was the tv out card and wireless keyboard.
