I'm starting to see the price drop, like all of you are describing, but I still don't have a DVD-Writer, so I suppose I'll need to invest in one of those shortly.
Nonono... Would you want your 5 year old playing Counter-Strike at a internet cafe in your local mall? Well some people may agree or disagree with that, but I certainly wouldn't want my child playing a game where your primary objective is to shoot and kill all the members of the other team......he should leave that to me instead:)
Any ways, these games may have been the equivalent of the ESRB's "Ao" (Adult-Only) rating, so therefore they might have included pornographic scenes and extreme gore.
eVoting might be the "wave of the future" but the future ain't here yet!
One of the most troublesome states to meddle with the faulty "eVoting" system is Florida. In addition to this, there are thousands of absentee ballots missing.
I expect Florida to be somewhat troublesome come this November.:)...now, for this eVoting stuff...It's easy to spoof an e-mail and not get caught, but it's not so easy to spoof an actual letter and not get caught... I apply this same analogy to eVoting. You could attempt to forge a physical ballot (like the guy in Ohio who recently attempted to register celebrity's names as voters), but you would most likely get caught in the long run, whereas if you modify an "eVote" you can slide home-free into office.
Politics is a crooked business to start with, and this eVoting stuff is just twisting it even more!
Maybe next time, but I hope they lay off of these things this time around!
When their servers chill-out a bit, and there's a decent DL speed, I'll probably snag it. I really like these 1-CD distros...I'm sick of spending three-hours downloading multiple CD's:(
Another notable 1-CD Distro is Xandros...it lacked the expandability I wanted, so I dumped it, but it's still a rather nice little Linux Distro, especially for beginners and Windows-converts.:)
It's good to see a modern-day Linux distro that can run properly (and quickly) on older machines... Some of the newer distros seem suited for today's PC market rather than yesterday's PC market.;)

The price of writable DVD's is much too high for me, I think I'll stick with my cheap-o CD-R's for now :D
:P
Still, though, if any of you feel the need to buy me one of those boogers, feel free, I'll give you my shipping address
They outnumber us, and uh,....I think they would win :-/

China is a communist country, so I suppose that's to be expected :(
It's a shame, though...

Broadband in power-lines, eh? I guess that would kill cable-internet piracy (or at least strongly discourage it)...
...I mean, you couldn't just go outside and split the wire when your neighbor wasn't looking, you would...uh...be electrocuted in the process. :-/

Very cool... a step towards I,Robot? :)
I'm not sure *I* personally could play with a robotic dog and feel normal, I guess I'm just old-fashioned.
None-the-less, that's very interesting...
