Your answer is staring you in the face - it's firebug. If I leave firebug + Gmail open overnight, every few nights it wakes up in the morning eating having eaten all my ram.
Someone else in this thread mentions the use of bluetooth, but in a different capacity. My suggestion is to create a bluetooth button that a girl can say clip to her jeans, which vibrates when her phone rings in her purse. I proposed this to a few big city girls, and they thought it was a great idea.... Now where's my factory...
(I'll leave the jokes this idea sets up to people replying)
You get the schedule about a month and a bit before exams. It would be nice to have it sooner, but how can an exam schedule be determined before people stop switching courses?
I dunno, but just about every other university manages to have the finals schedule done *before* you even sign up for the classes. So if you don't like that Psych101 final on the last day of the exam period, don't take it this term. Unfortunately, the mental genius that is Waterloo, cannot figure out this problem, while the mental midget down the street, Laurier, gets it right every term.
Somewhere in there, he also said that comments.pl wasn't important from a *commercial* standpoint. I think all he was saying was that 75% of/. readers don't every click on "Comments", thus, from a commercial standpoint, they're relatively unimportant.
Well, I'm no guru when it comes to this stuff, but in my experience, the HTTP-Referer field isn't always filled. I haven't researched it too far, but I think some versions of Netscape don't send it at all. And cookies... turn them off, and boom, no more security. I know there are other ways to do it (my site uses one of them:) but ummm... yeah.
I chose not to install the Java stuff (figured this ain't the final, why waste the download time....). The foot print shrunk down to a "lite" 20 megs... Ick:(
It actually fluxuated between 15-25 megs, regardless of what I was doing (seemed kinda random).

Just a minor note:

Down for me too... although I don't think putting the whole 404 page in your comment was worthwhile...
