a) A job that you enjoy is a pleasure, not work
b) If you don't enjoy your job your performance will suffer, and hence you would be more likely to be laid off
I guess the FBI has never heard about web proxies. I'm sure the big-time criminals would not be caught because they use anonymizing networks, botnets or proxies to do their stuff.
..There is a slight difference between the U.S and Belgium: Belgium has 10 million people, while the U.S has over 300 million people. The scope changes completely everything.
Even if the countries like the U.S implemented a system like that, MySpace would be alienating some of its customers from other countries. There are countries where dial-up is the only option, letalone fancy verification systems......

I feel your frustration.... I signed up for vonage on December 20th (Eligibility is limited to people who where customers before December 15th...) ='(.. OUCH.....
As much as I don't like Microsoft, parent post is a troll and should be modded down. He contradicts himself:
a) Assuming that he was planning on getting a pirated copy, since he mentioned that he is running W2k (i.e. no fancy graphics) it really wouldnt make a difference
b) If he was planning on getting a legit version, then what's the problem? voila! you get your fancy graphics
