  1. Come to the senses on Gartner Predicts Linux Gains In 2005 · · Score: 0

This seems like a decent thing to happen, considering the rediculous ability Microsoft has in the "lacking" department. Their flashy gui's aren't impressing anyone anymore, and their bugginess seems to be annoying people to the point where they ditch the overpriced monopoly and go straight to a free OS like Linux. Hey, it's better than using Mac, but at least Microsoft makes the effort to repair their miscodes. I just hope more companies like GM and Codemasters lead the way with servers using Linux, instead of having those wonderful downtimes with Winblows.

I bet at least one of the jurors purchased a penis enlarger and, let's say, wasn't totally satisfied with the results...

Yeah, my free Ipod hasn't arrived in the mail, either... I'm pretty upset about that.

I've actually gotten more spam since this winner was arrest. And anyways, he didn't do too bad money-wise, $750k a month is better than I think 99.9% of this entire world's population. And to think... only 9 years in jail. I'd do it too. Get out of jail at age 29, still young enough to marry, have kids... and I'd be able to drive a Porsche. Or 3.

  4. Christmas? on Airlines Ordered To Turn Over Passenger Data · · Score: 0

Just imagine what would happen this Christmas if just one corrupt official posted even 100 of those possible tens of thousands of creditcard numbers, names, addresses, etc... I know my Christmas would be very fun indeed, filled with new "toys" and such...

  5. surveillance on Wireless Chip Embedded in Paper · · Score: 0

I don't know how awesome this technology is... I don't think the technology would just be used for credit cards and such. The government would love to turn this on me, as would private big-money people who love to eavesdrop any way they can. I'll probably be burning my paper soon if things go the Japanese way.

  6. Absentee Ballots on How Would You Change U.S. Election Procedures? · · Score: 0

I think they should associate death sentences with spamming. It would definitely help keep those "Buy cheap vi.a.gra now!" emails out of my spam box. Even though they're in my spambox, they're still irritating. Death to spammers and trolls alike (they're on the same page)

Harharhar... I wouldn't be the least bit surprized if they figured some way to associate the 3 phrases "barber", "bill gates" and "del *.*", so that when people look up his barber, BSOD paradise.

  11. Search engine wars on Microsoft To Launch Homegrown Search Engine · · Score: 2, Interesting

It seems that Microsoft might just be trying to cut in on the business that Google, Yahoo, AskJeeves and all those other engines are making. I don't know what kind of a fool would use a Microsoft search engine anyways, the index would have to be built from scratch, instead of the years of data that Google and Yahoo have accrued.

I wonder if people are hired at the Yahoo HQ's to monitor their notices of people raping them of their domain... hmm... This could be a good thing for some people. I can only hope it works in my favour, or I'll be rather pissed.
