  1. I want some. on Online Trust Failing Overall · · Score: 2, Funny

I think the mistrust comes from people who never receive their Free Vi.a.gra Cheep! in the mail. It's such a shame, that M.ale_Enhanc3ment_P1ll sounded good to me.

  2. Har. on Microsoft Admits Targeting Wine Users · · Score: 1

Why shouldn't we be allowed to use Wine with Microsoft products? Doesn't that sound like a monopoly? (Redundant) I like Wine (Offtopic) Microsoft needs to wake up and realize that they have like 80% of the market, and because of that, nothing is compatible with anything else. The most cherished programs anyone uses runs on Microsoft software, no matter what. Wine should be seen as a compliment by Microsoft, and seen that way because it shows that even though M$ shafts everyone with security, people still need and want to use their swiss cheese software.

  3. Replication for the fight on Dvorak on How Microsoft Can Kill Linux · · Score: 1

Drivers shouldn't be the problem here. The real win comes from battling against Microsoft and stealing money from them, regardless of the effort needed to win the fight. Who needs drivers, anyways? If Microsoft is such a problem for everyone, we should just buy some C++ bibles and build ourselves our own OS. Mandrake shouldn't be too hard to replicate, right?

What's the real "scare" here though? It's just a drop in the bucket for Torrent sites, and the only way they could turn themselves from a drop in the bucket to a nuclear blast was to make everyone believe that their world was going to end. I almost donated the last $5 I have in my PayPal, but I realized that the MPAA probably wouldn't really sue them. Call it intuition, but something told me that the MPAA wouldn't take action, seeing as how the MPAA can't catch absolutely everyone, namely a bunch of anonymous people running a Torrent site.

You could always get an external HDD shell from Maxtor. They're quite useful. I used to use a thumbdrive, and then I figured "why not have an external drive?". It's inexpensive too.

This is absolutely rediculous; Someone who can invade millions of computers in wonderfully covert ways under buckets of guises is appointed a chair in the government as a data securitist? Disgusting.

I prophesized that instead of taking the Hubble out of service, that they use it as surveillance, seeing as how looking at Alpha Centauri isn't too big of a deal. They could get incredible quality pictures if it were a spy mechanism.

  13. Housecall on New Virus Attacks Via RAR Files · · Score: 1

I use TrendMicro's Housecall, because I have a fear of resident AV's. They scan right through Rar's, and recently they added suppourt for modifying a Rar, regardless of if it's locked, passworded or whatever. I'm sure that most other AV companies will follow suit, seeing as how I've used Housecall on my landlady's computer (She had a virus, she wanted me to fix it) and it found some viruses, and Norton didn't. McAfee doesn't even belong in this topic discussion, it's more benign than Iceland.

Even though it's one of the most popular philisophical astronomy books ever, A Brief History Of Time (Stephen Hawking) really happened to open up my eyes, and I sought extra reading. After all this time, even beforeward, I knew about gravitational waves considering the 4th dimension. The thought of actual waves though seems hard to imagine, considering gravity comes from mass, not anything non-particle. The idea that a massive supernova could propel gravitational waves at us in such a way as it does micro gamma and cosmic waves sounds absolutely rediculous unless, of course, the actual mass encounters us too (That would take a while).
