In places were gambling is not illegal why shouldn't they be required to pay taxes? If you win thousands in Las Vegas you can expect to be handed a tax form to fill out as you exit the establishment
Not voting is effectively endorsing the winner. You don't care who wins. When people quote these figures they are implying that the non-voters oppose the winner, but that is not the case. If you don't vote, you are equally responsible for the result as those who vote for the winner.
Either that or you didn't want to vote for any of them.
What "democracy" really needs is a meaningful "none of the above" box on the voting papers.
How should it work? If the number of people who vote "none of the above" is greater than the difference between the top two candidates then it should force a new election with new candidates.
Serious question. I do a lot of dev on a Mac but my personal gaming rig is still a PC with a high-end internal video card (in a separate room to cut down fan noise, etc.).
Other more basic question: If you're going to buy that thing then then why not buy a console instead? For less money.
Bonus: You'll have a much wider selection of games to play, too.
Because: a) There's no Mac games available that would require that thing, and b) No company is going to develop them because not enough people will ever own one of those to make it worthwhile.
So to think that they have anything remotely capable of what they claim, without, you know PROOF (not just a research paper) if laughable.
That doesn't matter. All that matters is: a) Trump voters will believe it (and demand action!) b) Some department in the US Military will "believe" it (and ask for more funding...)
Sure, but they look very different. I heard that's it's hard to distinguish a stealth aircraft from a large bird (eg. a seagull) because of the much-reduced radar profile.
The fact that the 'seagull' is flying at Mach 2 is a bit of a giveaway though.
No string library written in C is going to call free() automatically for you or do any sort of stack unwinding.
In short: C simply doesn't cut it for anything large/complex.
I mean, yes you can do it, but the development time will be much longer and the code will be much uglier (eg. lack of namespaces, classes and function overloading means every function name has to be unique, ie. function names get longer and longer in proportion to program size).
Yep. How hard would it be for them to let you type a message they can read during the review process?
The truth is they simply don't care. They're not short of content. Your work might have taken months to create, it mean the world to you, but it's nothing to them.
When I click that link, the very first thing I see on the page is this:
In 2008, Energy Department experts studied the impact of the extended Daylight Saving Time on energy consumption in the U.S. and found that the extra four weeks of Daylight Saving Time saved about 0.5 percent in total electricity per day.
While this might not sound like a lot, it adds up to electricity savings of 1.3 billion kilowatt-hours -- or the amount of electricity used by more than 100,000 households for an entire year.
So... I'm not sure who's the liar here. Maybe you're just lying to yourself.
An "appeal"? Most of them didn't even get a trial.
The way youtube works is that you get a notification telling you something is wrong and you have 48 hours to "correct" the video (except you can't replace a video, you can only take one down and put a new one up, losing all the likes, etc).
After 48 hours your video is reviewed by humans and you're judged guilty or not.
The problem? At no point are you allowed to send them a message, provide evidence, or do anything else in your own defense.
one blade of a wind turbine weighs about 25-30 tonnes.
That's about the same as a small car in America, yes.
Donald Trump knows what it means.
and anti-science administration. I'm not saying this to troll. We (or the 45% who voter for him) knew exactly what they were getting
I strongly disagree with that.
The 45% who voter(sic) for him have no clue what they actually voted for.
(...except more guns and less queers/darkies)
And if you knew what you were getting, why did you vote?
In places were gambling is not illegal why shouldn't they be required to pay taxes? If you win thousands in Las Vegas you can expect to be handed a tax form to fill out as you exit the establishment
Do you get a deduction form if you lose?

How can we believe in the lies provided by China
Why wouldn't you believe them? The Chinese lies are in direct proportion to the institutional dumbing-down of America.
The new machines are, in many ways, worse than what they were selling 3 years ago.
It took courage.
Somebody typed 60k lines of code on a keyboard with no DEL key, no PgUp/PgDown keys, no home/end keys, and stunted halfling cursor keys?
Rather him than me.
What is surprising is how big VR porn has become, and how quickly.
LOL!
Has somebody not been paying attention for the last 30 years?
If "fertilizer" is the problem for coral reefs then why can't we fertilize them ourselves?

When I click on that link I go to this government page: https://www.energy.gov/article...

No it hasn't moved or yes the 1990s C++ criticisms are still valid?
If only there was a way to cheat death by getting up a bit later on that Sunday.
Yep, we should definitely plan this around YOU.

Not enough light in the morning? Start later. Not enough light in the evening? Start earlier.
Yeah, the farm animals will be totally OK with being fed/milked late every day.
All it does is bring all kinds of complications
Like what? People don't even have to set clocks these days, it's all Internet-sync this, auto-adjust that.
