  2. SCSharp on World of Starcraft? Not So Much · · Score: 1

Chris Toshok of GNOME fame is working on open source (some of the original files still required) StarCraft implementation in C# called SCSharp. Who knows, maybe this project will resolve the resolution issue.

  3. Of course, all the features are great but... on Nanotubes Start to Show their Promise · · Score: 0

  4. One question on OpenOffice.org Team on OO.org (and Upcoming v2.0) · · Score: 0

Will there be a GUI installer for Linux version of OO.o 2.0? It's just that Slackware doesn't handle RPMS natively (I know rpm2tgz but this isn't the cleanest way) and I don't want to compile it from source.

  5. I just don't get it on Li-Ion With 300% More Power, Minutes to Recharge · · Score: 0

Everyone knows that all components of a laptop are progressing except one - the battery. No matter what kind of configuration you have - a standard single battery won't let you work for more than 3 - 6 hours. Every six months there is a post on /. that a major breakthrough in the battery technology has been achieved - superior capacities and quick recharge rates. Judging from what the scientists say a crappy battery should not be an issue these days. What is the deal that these technologies are still not common?

  6. KDE on Slackware 10.1 Beta And Pat's Health · · Score: 0

IMO 10.1 should be delayed till KDE 3.4 release but maybe it will feature more bugs than the current 3.3.2 version. Sure, this is not as important Slackware 11 or 10.2 - judging by new release intervals, the next version should ship QT 4, KDE 4 and 2.6 kernel by default. Now that will be a desktop platform!
