    You're making the assumption Oracle will upgrade their apps to run on any improved version of Java. For example, the apps we have from Oracle that are enterprise-y still use versions of Java over 7 years old. Even though the version of the apps have marched on, the version of Java being used has not.

    But that's still not 48 cores on a single chip. So it's not a big deal for most of us buying business type hardware that isn't even close to have 48 cores on a single CPU.

    As I'll explain again to people that can't grasp the concept of 48 cores on single CPU (chip), the system you linked uses 8-core CPU's. According the paper being discussed, there is no issue with the total number of cores, just the number of cores on a single chip.

    There aren't 64 cores on any single Opteron chip, so no, they haven't.

    It is done on a vast majority of php sites, you just haven't been around long enough to hear about it I guess. phpBB back in the day had this issue like crazy and once someone found it could be injected, any major public forum using phpBB was injected. You just hear about IIS/ASP more on /. because OMG it's M$ products being hacked again. But really SQL injection has nothing to do with the technology being used and everything to do with lazy coding methods being used in applications.

    We're using KT and with the ease of setup and simple to use API's that allow us to automate some tasks I'd highly recommend it. We tried Alfresco and after a couple of days of setup became fed up with it.

    Parent here has a great point. When we implemented SFTP it was a huge nightmare of support calls. Customer lemmings were incapable of following the very detailed picture tutorial sent to them. Obviously the most asked question was why we changed.

    A little tough to setup new SNMP devices, I thought, but overall a great product. Even the free version gets you quite far.

    Sure you installed the free version or were not just getting the pop-ups about the new version? Never heard of AVG doing what you describe with the free version, much less after an uninstall.

    Another shout for ReSharper. Once you don't have to compile to find out something isn't right it's real hard to go back to normal VS. I hope they reduce the extra time it takes to parse at the loading of a project though. Large projects take way too long.
