Lets say the next car you bought, came with a full wardrobe of clothes.
Once you bought the car, you'd never have to buy clothes again.
Do you think clothes manufacturers would be upset? Nobody who bought the car would buy their clothes, ever.

Now lets say that this car manufacturer made 85% of all cars in the world. 85% of people in the world would never buy clothes ever again. The clothes companies would probably go out of business.

This is not fair business practices, it's an unfair, monopolistic, anticompetitive business practice, and it's exactly what Microsoft is doing.

Snail mail is easy, but the same holds true, and it can become very disorganized.

email, on the other hand, can easily be accounted for. The FBI knows when it sees an email, who sent it, and who they sent it to. Electronic signatures allow you to make relatively sure the mail wasnt forged, encryption allows the data to remain private (can you imagine transcribing encrypted text from a physical letter to a computer just to read it?) It's organized, the mail server can easily archive it and sort it.

Best of all (to the FBI), it's controllable. If the top brass wants to read any emails that may be originating from some location outside the country and destined for inside it, email can be automatically scanned, and the email in question can be forwarded to him.

Email may have it's downsides, but the advantages far outweigh them.

The evidence IS proof. You cannot discount fossils just because they don't fit in with your plan. But lets look at it this way:

How do we know evolution happened? Because as you dig deeper, fossils become less and less like humans, and more like what evolution suggests we evolved from.

How do we know this is proof? Because it's a reproducable phenomenon. If you put something on the ground, it will be covered by dirt in time. As more time passes, more dirt covers it. It is in accordance with the scientific method, and the fact that it is true, proves that evolution is true.

You see, in science, everything is inextricably connected. In pseudoscience, in intelligent design, the ideas stand alone. They are baseless, they do not follow the scientific method, and so they are NOT SCIENCE.

What you said is precisely why the big bang theory is not a widely accepted theory. Just like intelligent design, and unlike evolution, there is no proof of it. Thank you for proving my point.
