I only play Guild Wars. I will not pay for a game then pay to play that is extortion if you want me to pay a monthly fee to play then give me the game. As for adds I am 100% against them I no longer watch TV because of them.
I worked for a large electronics firm that began going through reverse growing pains about 10 years ago. Before then the employee (regardless the position) had a great deal of respect and power. An assembly line worker had the authority to shut down the assembly line when a problem was noticed. That changed. Management began to view the employee as an expense respect was lost on both sides and jobs went over seas. I left 6 years ago and now work for a bank in the same job as a PC support technician. I have a great deal of respect here, but with any support job you are a hero one day and an a. . h. . . the next. Some days you just can't help banging your head against the wall and your customer wonders what Cracker Jack box your degree came out of. Over all I've seen respect go up, way up.

Well, that said I see your point. Too bad for your parents;) I'm 52 my son and I duke it out. (in games.) Although, he prefers coop play, which does work out in Full Spectrum Warrior. However, with my daughter (that likes to be the sniper in Medal of Honor) coop doesn't seem to exist. She takes great pleasure in snipping me.:(
I'm one of the latter end baby boomers being 52. However, it is not my son or daughter that fixes my PC problems I am the one that fixes theirs. The original post left out some of the better tools which are Adaware, spywhareblaster, spywareguarder, CWSshredder and Hijackthis! (To name a few.) PCer since 83. Mom and Pop aren't always the Clampett's

Get a real PC laddie, and they start at $300 bucks too, not to mention more games ;)
