I FULLY AGREE!
Linux is wild west of OS's, and each time I attempt to install it, I got run out of town by the need to rebuild kernels. No one has yet written a user-friendly document on kernel building in Linux. I'd jump from the Windows platform in a heartbeat if I had a successful implementation of X-Windows running on my old Dell box. I've got an intel 810 video chipset but no knowledge of how to make it work.
Due to the new cooperation between Google, Inc, and Mapsolute GmbH, maker of the unique mapping portal Map24.com, it is now possible to search for city maps in all European Google search engines. If you enter a city name into Google.co.uk, the first result list entry is a special link to Map24.com that brings up the corresponding city map. On the result page, for sure, the full set of the rich Map24 options is available to the users.
I've noticed almost no difference in performance and crashing between PR release vs. 1.0 The only issues I've seen has been related to opening up PDF files through internet.
