Am I the only one who doesn't care about a browser in my psp? I always have my laptop with me, so anywhere I'd need a browser, I could pull out my laptop. I'd rather have emulation and because of that I can't be bothered with 2.0.
Sony, please embrace the hackers that made playstation 1 ubiquitous. Remember the explosion after people found you could put chips in them? They were EVERYWHERE. Once that happens, put the controls in because you'll have one.
Actually, sony has basically won. Nintendo's DS is rather pathetic... It's main push seems to be to play original nes games, but psp can do that, assuming you don't upgrade the bios.:)
This is a sincere question. Please don't mod me to flame bait.
I have been a gentoo user for quite sometime now and am not sure what the difference between ubuntu and debian are. Is there much? Why is ubuntu so hyped?
This topic has been covered millions of times. "It's not if, it's when Linux will..." and finish the quote with some audacious goal.
If Linux can solve the problems, let it. If it can't, then fine. Do we really need to regurgitate this same idea over and over again?
I have played in bands for years and my friends have to. Most of them are very techy and post things to share for opinions with other people involved in the process of creating the files that are to be released. Things such as checking mixes or guitar sounds or whathaveyou. Is there any clarification as to what defines the poster and their relation to the work?
It's not evil. It's good strategy. I would love if Firefox would start playing dirty when it comes to advertising and everything while playing a game as clean as possible when it comes to the software itself.
People have been saying that forever and MS's lead has never fawltered. I think Mozilla is on the right track by making Thunderbird and Firefox and focusing on them doing their specific tasks very well. If parts can be shared, excellent, but don't break your back figuring out how to share components when the goal is to have good, alternative products for people who want quality.

Oh man... this is unleashing a new demon!
How many people use them and what do you use them for? I understand the idea, I just haven't found many situations where I'd want a live cd instead of just installing the full OS...
This is the OpenBSD team. Not a bunch of louts. They could learn SVN overnight and write an open replacement for it in a week. Remember when they decided they didn't like ipf? They designed and implemented a new packet filter that was _better_ in barely any time at all.
With their vigilance, they'd clearly go with which ever they thought was better.
Everyone wants to customize their myspace.com page or build a blog. Why not show kids how that is done and then ask if people want to learn more? You could start with an introduction to web design and work your way to doing dynamic sites towards the end of the program.
Web design is both fun and easy and I imagine it would appeal to more than just the nerdy kids who program their calculators.
From the post itself: The report, set to be released on Tuesday, states that the 2.6 Linux production kernel, shipped with software from Red Hat, Novell and other major Linux software vendors, contains 985 bugs in 5.7 million lines of code, well below the industry average for commercial enterprise software
See where it says: "shipped with software from Red Hat, Novell and other major Linux software vendors"
...yet complaining, we're seeing that bad publicity is still actually good publicity. Everyone will be talking about the new ms search bar and everyone will know all about it.
If you really don't like it, don't talk about it. Pretend it doesn't exist.
I agree, but I think they're doing it to stay in peoples minds long enough to get longhorn out the door. With the rate they're hiring security experts and developers, I imagine they're putting all of their resources into longhorn and.net and are hoping to come out with a bang.
I want clippy to pop up and point to my search strings in the rendered pages. I also want clippy to say, "I see you're searching with google. Would you like help using microsoft search? How about a hotmail account?"
I often wonder how companies don't notice things like what's listed for how it falls short...
I guess companies just rush it out the door instead of spending at least a week having random people use it an list complaints... shame.
I should clarify, it's not that ALL nintendo games are cute, it's more that so many of them are. I want a system where most of the games aren't bubbly characters looking to be happy all the time.
I like games like final fantasy, metal gear, and the other games that were so big on playstation. I don't remember anything really fun on gamecube aside from zelda. I'm sure there were some good games, but none that made me buy the system.
As for the really awesome nes games of the past, well, I have a nintendo. I don't need all the same games on my portable to make me buy a portable.
Also, I like the DS. I just can't afford to commit to one system when I still might really like another one.
What do you think a gameboy emulator is for?!

I guess you and I have basically made the point of the rest of this thread null. *high five*
I wonder how this effects swt or if swt can provide similar functionality to java-cocoa?
Thanks. These are the kind of responses I was looking for. I've never been a huge fan of debian, but perhaps I'll give ubuntu a shot.
Rather than being a jerk, why not respond with something meaningful?

what people are searching google for every 30 minutes?!

They ruined Linux (SCO proved it, remember? ;) and now they've ruined Solaris. WHAT NEXT?! WINDOWS?!?!
easy enough

I thought firefox already had a google search bar and already could block pop-ups?!
