I have no fear of internet movie providers to be a real threat to Netflix, Blockbuster or the like. I don't really mind watching a flick on my computer, but it's definently not my first choice. I'd much rather be able to pop the DVD into a set top player and enjoy it that way.
But there is still the possibility that download services will become more popular, if Media Centers finally become popular. Now that is something I'd go for.
I too read John Gardner's "Grendel" a few years back. Although it's a short novel, it is an amazing look at nihilism and an interesting take on the Beowulf mythos.
If I'm not mistaken, there was a cartoon version of Grendel made some time back....although I can't possibly imagine one.
So, am I the only one who saw this being demoed on an episode of The Screen Savers last year? If I'm not mistaken it was at last year's CES.
I was quite a non-believer when I first read about it, but after seeing it, I'm hopeful.

I first watched TechTV back when it was ZDTV. At that time I was only a bit of a computer nerd and TechTV completely changed it.
