    Actually, you can direct your avatar's head movement- after a short delay it follows your cursor, so if you mouseover something your avatar looks at it. If you then leave your mouse in one place, eventually your avatar will go back into the 'randomly looking around' animation. It took me a while to work that one out. Supposedly, Linden Labs is planning to allow people to move individual body parts (like a hand to point or wave) at some point.

    RPGs seem to have become way too bloody serious. I just want to kill some kobolds.

    I thought they were called 'microtubules' rather than microtubes. Furthermore, I'm pretty sure this theory has been discredited in favor of a more macroversal theory of consciousness. Ultimately, I'd hope that "large scale" old-fashioned neural connections were responsible for consciousness because it would make things alot easier for AI and transhumanism. It does bring back memories though- I did a report on this in Freshman English. That's what the teacher gets for letting us choose our own subjects!
