My local downtown has started playing opera were large congregations of ne'er-do-wells gathered. So far it's been pretty effective from what i've seen.

I semi agree to most of what you said. I know a few Wiccans that are serious about their religion. What you describe is more the fluff bunny aspect, which admittidly, alot of Wiccnas are. I couldn't stand Wiccans for a long time because of that attitude and all the ones I had met were like that. Attention garning idiots. Then I actually met some that were serious about it. They didn't talk about it, groan in disgust at any mention of the Burning Times, don't wear tons of silver jewelry (if any at all), and didn't even let me know that they were pagan untill I called them out on it.
As to the Asatru, you are correct, we don't.
It probably means hoes or hose as in stockings. You rarely see men wearing them today (unless you go to a ballet, Ren. Fest or something similar). A thinner, lighterweight verion you may be familiar with are called pantyhose.
But then there's hack can mean to chop vigorously, which is something you are likely to do with the garden instrument, so you may be right .
I have Win2k Server running on a P-Pro 200 system. Runs great. Not the snappiest system, but it's better than the thing I use at work. OKay, so it's a quad. 512k cache per proc. And 1.5 GB RAM. It still runs just fine. as a file server. and as a Wind Tunnel. Sucked at folding@home though.

Would you put this system together for me
some I ordered by mail and parts I got free.
The pieces all work, except two or three.
Please, Mr. Compatibility.
Now with my Amiga, all I want to do
is running MacDraw underneath OS/2,
to write all my data on ROM-type CD,
and display EGA on projection TV.
I'd like to plug hypercard into my VAX,
run my parallel printer on standard coax;
Use it all under MS-DOS version 3.2,
and a VCR on RS-232.
My Cray running friendly interfaces with ease,
to movie film shown on a 13-foot screen;
My plotter and laser should speak Postscript well,
networked on Appletalk under Novell.
Autocad my Atari, VGA TTL;
tied to my Apple ][ running Excell.
Lay optic fiber, shaped in a token ring
with a scanner and tablet - I forget anything?
Put all this together - take an hour or two;
hide those ugly cables, and when you are thru
write up a contract saying you'd guarantee
it'll all work forever, or you'd fix it for free.
