I don't even think that you can *GET* a legit software there anymore, it's like when your cousins call up to ask you if you need anything from New Jersey - "err, yeah could you bring along a copy of windblows? I'll pay you for it when you get here!"
most people in asia and the third world buy pcs with a pirated copy of xp on them. The pcs are so cheap that the only profit the retailers can make are by selling you pirated software and telling you that it's the legal stuff!
im from india and im a student here at the university... i honestly would not want to raise a family here; im here for the quick bucks, some good times and peace!
you really have to visit the place to see how rich in culture it is...:)
Further predictions:
Native PDF on-screen rendering
Entirely out-sourcing graphics to the GPU
Legible type
Unix kernel (Windux?)
64-bit processing
Built-in rudimentary security
Gecko IE
heck I agree man, we'll be seeing a new generation of geeks who write/customize their own operating systems; I'm getting started on mine these vacations:)
It's only coz bill gets a lot of spam and if he tries to do something about it then it makes him look good.
If i had a billion bucks to shit on; i'd try getting rid of spam too...

ok so after chanfing the location of _elf_lib the prog on my server gave me this ...
:p)
[-] FAILED: uselib (Cannot allocate memory)
but on the univ server it just keeps losing the race! lol i guess it's coz that server is pretty fast...
child 31 VMAs 65527
child 32 VMAs 60100
[+] moved stack bfffc000, task_size=0xc0000000, map_base=0xbf800000
[+] vmalloc area 0xc0400000 - 0xc047e4a4
Wait... -
[-] FAILED: try again (Cannot allocate memory)
so are these systems secure? (i mean to a certain extent that the probability of the race condition winning is pretty low
anyone?
ok im an idiot
... :S
... lol
#define LIBNAME "/tmp/_elf_lib"
works now
i dont know if this is a good thing or now
thats the change
//#define LIBNAME "/dev/shm/_elf_lib"
#define LIBNAME "/tmp"
this is what i got!
[-] FAILED: open lib (/tmp not writable?) (Is a directory)
Killed

- and do you have a rollback? (i'd like to try it but I don;t want to have to keep it all the time
