So nothing wrong with us thinking they are deluded and thereby reacting.

The worst are those ads that create links in the body of a sites text and basically trick you into clicking the ad, since you think its a normal reference within an article.

Some advertising's ok (text ads that are clearly seperated from the article) especially if relevant to the site. But advertisers DESERVE much of what they are getting.

If they don't want to set some sort of conservative standards of how they spread their word (AND take responsability for abusers), we don't have to accept their wares.

The best sites don't need to screw around their customers: they know what the users will accept, and generally agree with it (they are actually interested in what their own site). Most of the (small) sites i go to ASK their users what would be best.

And the users generally are reasonable.

similar to what another poster said, its popular in western Canada too, even with its extremely high moisture environment and cold winters. Straw houses have a good r-value too (unless they're poorly built).

I found it kindof funny that the straw house link you gave showed her dismantling a cordwood house, which I always remember being featured in books I'd find when looking for real books on house building. The only thing worse were the car tire houses. Goddamn hippies. :p

A quasi-hippy friend of mine actually built a post /beam + straw house that has water running along a 'balcony' that ran all around the floor of the second story, pooled infront of the master bedroom balcony patio doors and formed a small waterfall off said balcony.

    Post/beam + straw for me I hope.

  7. Europe = reward Infineon! on Infineon Execs Plead Guilty to Price-Fixing · · Score: 1

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2004/03/16/ec_approve s_infineon_state_aid/ They get money handed to them from the euros, and taken from them by the yanks. That article has a link to an older article in which this appears: "Commission officials said that assessment will be based on whether "the proposed project would take place in a sector suffering from structural over-capacity". And they note: "The new Infineon plant is scheduled to produce DRAMs - a market where careful scrutiny of the development of sales proves necessary."" Seeing as how there was an obvious glut in that sector, its amazing these things get passed. Personally, I think white collar crime is the perfect/only place that Sharia law should be implemented. Lets get some blood on those collars!
