I would like to add and summarize my experiences here. We're a large high school here where there is a computer programming and administration vocational traingin branch. There are also a couple of other vocational training families together with normal highschool courses in the same building and under the same staff.
We have a division between teachers who use and advocat for the use of linux and others who prefer to stick with Windows. We linux users are passively winning this race. Public administrations are tightening control over computer, installed software and so on to prevent piracy. That affects windows-office world. AS the pressure over the other group of theachers rose, the school decided to go for a "Microsoft program for schools software or whatever its name was". The idea was to pay some euros and have full access for every computer and student to install a large set of Microsoft applications and operative systems.
At first, we belived it would be like: "Hey! WE've paid, we can install Everything".
Nope!!!! We have access to a web that once the form is filled in, leaves you download and install a copy of the software for a single user or computer, which gets registered at that microsoft site. Lab multiple installation is possible, but neither easier. In the end THERE IS NO WAY TO MATCH THE FREEDOM OF FREE SOFTWARE, I have to tell or ask noone when and where and which computer or user I install Linux, FreeOffice or Qt developing tools.
The Assad regime was a brutal dictatorship. The opposition to Assad is made up primarily of people who are not at all jihadists. In fact, the freedom fighters have in many cases fought the Al Qaeda forces who came into Syria to exploit the violence.
I'm just hearing that on hundreds of news, media, websites and neighbours, but then, I go to liveleak and another truth can be seen. "A lie told 1000 times becomes a true". This lie of "brutal dictatorssssssshiiip of Asssad" is being repeated 1000 times a day. Yet everyday some new beheading video by the "rebels" shows up but is quickly censored or never shown on TV. All for the glory of the choosen nation of Israel
There is no truth, when people belives media.
RT is not the Russian television. It's a Russian-funded and owned American opposition television. They capitalize on the stories that are omitted by the mainstream American media (because quite seriously, who would care about Russia?).
That's why you can get the truth of your Home nation issues and news from RT. you won't get them from cnn. It's just as simple as that. We spanish, when we want to know the truth of our financial crisis, we go to german newspapers, I've even learned some german in order to be able to get real information from outside
The police state began some time ago. It began, for example, when hollywood started to make you americans, belive you lived in the land of the freedom, while the government was driving the nation in the opposite direction. A lie told a thounsand times becomes a truth. And your truth is (and you want it to be) "we live in a free country", but that is "YOUR" truth, not the truth.
We, europeans see you like living in a police state, much like the movies show about nazi germany, soviet russia, etc. You live in the type of country your army and your parents once fought (Hitler Germany). But The European government is going in the same direction and I'd like you to stand up against your tyranny, because I still see the american people as brave and having a sense of fight for freedom, much more than we europeans. So I expect the real spirit of your founding memebers make a comeback someday but only the american people can bring it.
15 years ago, I met a computer researcher who was giving a conference at my university. He took out his wireless mouse to connect it to the laptop, and suddenly he realized he wasn't in his country, he quickly switched it off and asked for permission or ifnormation because he didn't want to break any law regarding radiofrecuency emissions due to his mouse being from other country. During some seconds I felt he was worried about the time he had had it switched on. While I admire the eduated behaviour of americans, I really got sad to see how afraid of the system you can go at any simple, naive action of your daily life.
Life in America is much worse nowadays than most of the rest of the world. But your TV keeps you entertained and narcotized, and like muslims do when worshiping their god contiuously not to be misstaken by an infidel by the rest of the belivers, you americans worship your country not to be taken by a antiamerican-terrorist-comunist-anarchist- etc. The same lybia you bombed to the grounds to "liberate from tyranny" had on average a better living standar than your beloved america (this sounds strange, I know, but have you ever been to libya? or is it just that you've been TVBRainwashed ?) But 99% of americans were efectively driven to think they were in the free rich world, and Lybia was in the poor tyrannized world.
Don't you ask yourselves how can the CIA be helping alquaeda en Siria while the FBI is considering wiretapping every device in America? Is your governmetn fighting the terrorism to protect you? Or is it fighting you to protect them?
I'm a programming teacher at a public vocational school here in Spain. Unenployment is hitting hard and we face a massive attendance to our courses. About 15% of students are aged above 40 years old (my age). At the same time, out of school I like to teach young kids (8-11, my daughters and her friends) with basic programming. Of course, the bigger part of my classroom is filled with 18-25 years old students. I take programming teaching with passion, I just love my work and my mates let me choose the programming subjects in my school as they know I'm better at them (I hate networking, and just stand Operative systems matters).
So I've been able to compare programming skill improvement curve on several ages. I've taken into account the different disciplinary and focusing capacity of people. I mean, young students in spain suffer from a stupid forgiving unstressing toughless educational system that sterilizes their brains and are unable to focus, and to do abstract thinking. We had a much tougher educational system years ago, that followed that of the previous Franco (dictatorship) government, and we developed better ways of self-organizing, focusing and wasted no time when studing, that were necessary to succeed.
My Conclusions.
1) At about 45-50 age, I see people has a big drop in their programming learning capacity.
2) Very young kids (8-14) do learn much much better than older people by a large difference.
3) There is no much difference from 20 to 40, But.... I usually find exceptional able students in the ages 18-25. I think that from 25 years on, the very intelligent people becomes "just intelligent".
Maybe I'm saying nonsenses, but these are my observations,

Yeah! Not fan of Microsoft, but fun to see your reply in the same minute that the main entry was posted! Still not fan.

The suprising fact is that this gene correlates the part of the body being bigger with the latitude where the human being lives.
So nothern europeans have a bigger brain while africans have bigger pennis.
I know now why spanish girls have those big b.
