    At least the name of the glacier is spelled correctly. Eyjafjallajoekull is quite a mouthful.

    Actually, the correct spelling appears to be: Eyjafjallajökull. Wikipedia just points "Eyjafjallajoekull" to the correct page. I suggest the following spelling change: Ayayayfalafeljoe'sskull

    It's in the process of updating. Just keep in mind that "the cloud" isn't exactly 'real time'. It'll be showing the "back to school specials" well before Christmas.

    What does this have to do with the iPad? I come to slashdot for iPad stories, not stuff real nerds have never heard of.

    Just be patient and give it time. This Lenax stuff may just catch on one day and we'd all look pretty foolish if we didn't pay attention to it now.

    So Google invented a print server.

    Indeed they did ...

    What they need to do is not send print jobs to the cloud just so they can come back "down to earth". Get together with the major printer manufactures, develop a common intermediate print-job description language and print all ChromiumOS jobs in that PDL. The manufactures can implement their own drivers in the firmware of their printers. This gives us true plug & play, eliminates the need of installing drivers and lets everyone print on any printer they encounter that supports this technology.

    It goes without saying that this should be open source and available on all other platforms as well.

    Human reproduction is an instinct that drives human beings to pass on their own genetic material... not someone else's.

    It's a new era and a brave new world. Just think of this as "genetic spoofing". If it's good enough for spammers it's good enough for future spam recipients.

    What exactly is the problem with just getting a search warrant?

    Maybe "clouds" aren't in any single legal jurisdiction so they figure it will be as hard for you to fight their actions as it would be for them to get their warrant?

    Since when is quoting Ben Franklin considered "trolling"? Sometimes the truth is the truth whether it hurts or not. There are things that we as Americans shouldn't be proud of, and watering down our individual rights should be one of them

    Ah, modded troll already. The truth hurts, doesn't it Democrats? Your guy is no better than the one that came before him with regards to our civil liberties.

    I doubt there's more than a handful of politicians in DC who would do a "good" job protecting our rights civil liberties. I don't think this DoJ issue is a Republican vs Democrat issue. It's definitely an us (citizens) against them (the government) issue.

    Not trolling ... but Google seems to have found its balls again. It stood up to China and now its trying to stand up to the DoJ. Of course, backing Yahoo in this fight benefits Google as well. There's nothing wrong with protecting your own interests if you're also doing the right thing.
