Personally, I find the following quote the most scaring in the whole FA:
Being a good party member was far more important than your skill level, and so my boss was a man who had been a pig farmer. After decades spent raising hogs, he suddenly was supervising dozens of machinists, most of whom had engineering degrees and had built bridges and buildings until we were reassigned to "practical and useful" work -- making parts for factory machines.
Working for Carly Fiorina reminded me of my days working for that farmer.
After overthrowing communism, good old America has
nothing better to do than establish a similar system, just replace party cronies by CEOs or other pseudo-jobs.
> Interestingly enough, the Winamp plugin required to do this - Output Stacker - was pulled from the winamp site. Which I find a little odd, since there are perfectly legal uses for the plugin - so I don't understand why they're playing censorer (to be safe?)
you might find this snippet from their whatsnew.txt interesting:
* At Microsoft's request, we no longer allow you to use DSP plug-ins or
alternate output plug-ins when playing WMA files. Apparently doing things
that are transcoding (ala shoutcasting your WMA files) that Winamp, through
plug-ins, is capable of doing, violates their oppressive license agreement.
I don't think anybody here will be too surprised...
Users of Zeus Technology's ZXTM could use the following TrafficScript rule (which strikes me as slightly more intuitive):
if( http.getHeader("Accept-Encoding") == "" &&
http.getHeader("Referer") == "" )
{
$ua = http.getHeader("User-Agent");
if( $ua == "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1)"||
$ua == "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1;1813)"||
$ua == "User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1)"||
$ua == "User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1;1813)" )
{
connection.discard();
}
}
not sure wheter you are ignorant or being ironic, nor do i want to appear a spelling nazi, but this should read "ancient sanskrit."
No offence, but did you mean to say
"I'm simply lying!"
or
"I'm simplifying!"

Thanks for making me laugh. There is just one minor suggestion I would like to make:
instead of "The Germans have all of germany"
I would say "The Germans have Bavaria"
And yes, I'm a German not from Bavaria....
