Yes you can, if you can reproduce the binary from an audited compiler, which is exactly what has been done in the case of TrueCrypt. BTW this is Ken Thompson's backdoor, not DRR.

R has some pretty unique graphing packages. Nothing that I know of matches the way you can do 2D and 3D plots in R. Not Python, not Gnuplot, not Julia, not Matlab, not Excel, not Mathematica, nothing.
Yes, the convicted man who did this may be called a monster if you wish. However by killing him in the manner that you describe, then you become a monster yourself. In essence you are no better.
You have extremely low standards. A 4% error rate would get you kick out of most jobs with prejudice. A pediatrician dropping a baby 4% of the time? Failing to land a plane 4% of the time? The bank failing to cash in your paycheck 4% of the time? That would be disgrace.
Even in this case it is better to let the guy live, in my opinion. Horrible murderers are sick people. Killing them is an admission that we do not want to think about that fact, or do something about it.
Europe and the USA offshore their "dirty" production in the third world. They consume most of the resources of this planet and pollute everywhere, so their population is a problem too.
Right now the West has a choice between economic contraction due to population aging and loss, or massive immigration, with its own set of problems, mostly inequality and cultural issues. It has chosen the latter so far, but it may change. Perhaps economic success elsewhere will drive emigration in the West in a few decades.
People seem to still not grok exponential improvements in hardware. Intel GPUs are state-of-the art for integrated graphics, and only about 2-3 years behind the top-end discrete graphic cards at the most. They are good enough for most things now, except top-end demanding recent games.
Like there is nothing to work around in either Windows or OSX. Typically Win7 or Win8 attention seeking dialogs drive me up the wall. They block the whole screen even for tiny minor issues. OSX very often has a frozen dock that doesn't work. Lately I've been unable to add attachment to emails by drag-and-drop in Mail.app
Everyone finds workaround in all systems. I find that the Linux experience has improved immensely in the last couple of years.
Gov spending on R&D is about 3% of its budget. This is more or less the OECD average. If I understand what you are saying, you mean that R&D is a productive expense but that large parts of the remaining 97% are not so productive. By far the largest part of the US budget is medicare/medicaid, social security and next defense. Basically more than half of the budget is paying for pensions, the elderly, poor and unwell people in the USA who otherwise would have no other option. I leave it to your moral compass to decide whether this is non-productive spending.

Why are you untreated? Anxiety and depression can be treated fairly effectively. It doesn't cure you but it does allow you to function better.
How about the syntax for specifying model?.
lmfit = lm( change ~ setting + effort )

That doesn't work well for many people because the subpixel high-resolution is the wrong way.

If they are offenders in the first place.
Definitely very interesting. The fellow at the end is properly chilling.

Could the incoming data be written first in either a RAM or SLC cache while the formatting is going on ?
Well played, sir.
Since french executions continued in the 1970s I find it hard to believe their last executioner died in the 1950s.
Not really no, it is common in many parts of the world.

Oh but they are too. Desertification in Africa, and pollution in China. Don't underestimate the power of a few billion people.
Look up "Weeds", the tv series.

You might want to read "limits to growth" and then try to debunk the authors' work. I'm not so optimistic.
You're no alone. First thing I thought about reading this interview. Wanted to scream "Are you bloody mad?"

Well you certainly need to lift the material out of the gravity well of the Earth, and that, by itself, is not practical. Expensive and dangerous.

As for defense, I agree this is too much.
It seems ridiculously small.
