I hit reply to the a 'first post' dweeb, so this message has filtered down into never never land. Here it is again.
Since I dont watch TV at all, and listen to NPR (and read CNN online) for news, I was amazed at the lack of phone contact and/or direct mailing to inform people like me about the candidates. If I didnt have an interest in the race, I dont know if I would actually have any kind of an opinon one way or the other. All I recieved in the mail was the Massachusetts package of what the ballot questions were about. Usually, I recieve a phonecall or two asking for support for the candidates, or some malings about the candidates and their issues.

Young Johnny running down the hall with a full diaper, catching it on the corner of a desk, and creating a toxic spill in one of the highest traffic halls in the company. The Sara Lee Disaster...
These nutcases have taken it to extremes. Go check out Enterprise Mission, ground zero for those loonies. Especially check out the 'conference center', where anyone can post 'findings'.
A crystal city on the back of the moon! Mars Fungus! Frozen Pipes!
As a follow-up to this, what would I need as far as software to do this myself? Where can I get the info, actually (teach me to fish, dont give me a flounder)
I dunno, I always thought DIVX was evil, but thats just me. I took great delight wandering into Circuit City and seeing their latest tactic for selling DIVX to someone who has a clue, instead of the general population of sheeple.
I swear, Im gonna patent the umlaut. I bet the patent office would pass it "Hey, never seen one of these before", and then you'll all owe me millions in royalties...BWAHAHAH!
I agree, if it doesnt degrade into a fight for power by a few who know how to exploit the system. If I could build a city, and the surrounding 4 cities were controlled by other players, then that would be neat. Trade items with them, build highways, sell them space in my landfills, etc...
I used to fly back and forth between Newark and Boston on a regular basis. I flew so much I would end up with FF miles, and upgrade coupons. It was always a hoot to be in First Class. 7 guys in business suits, reading the WSJ, and me, tshirt, jeans, and a laptop, happily coding...
So, is my DeCSS tshirt illegal to wear? Are they going to try and take it from me? What if I go out of the country wearing it? Inquiring minds want to know!
...if this was actually an 'experiment', or if they thought they could get away with it? With all the bad press they recieved over this, I would assume the later.
I worked for a manager (director, acutally) that would try and pile inside and outside people on a project to get it completed faster. We eventually came up with the "He would get 9 women pregnant and expect a baby in a month!".
There are dozens of other things to a development cycle than just oursourcing 'certain problems'...
