    I hit reply to the a 'first post' dweeb, so this message has filtered down into never never land. Here it is again.

    Since I dont watch TV at all, and listen to NPR (and read CNN online) for news, I was amazed at the lack of phone contact and/or direct mailing to inform people like me about the candidates. If I didnt have an interest in the race, I dont know if I would actually have any kind of an opinon one way or the other. All I recieved in the mail was the Massachusetts package of what the ballot questions were about. Usually, I recieve a phonecall or two asking for support for the candidates, or some malings about the candidates and their issues.

    I agree, if it doesnt degrade into a fight for power by a few who know how to exploit the system. If I could build a city, and the surrounding 4 cities were controlled by other players, then that would be neat. Trade items with them, build highways, sell them space in my landfills, etc...

    I used to fly back and forth between Newark and Boston on a regular basis. I flew so much I would end up with FF miles, and upgrade coupons. It was always a hoot to be in First Class. 7 guys in business suits, reading the WSJ, and me, tshirt, jeans, and a laptop, happily coding...

    I worked for a manager (director, acutally) that would try and pile inside and outside people on a project to get it completed faster. We eventually came up with the "He would get 9 women pregnant and expect a baby in a month!".

    There are dozens of other things to a development cycle than just oursourcing 'certain problems'...
